Three nights ago...
Walking into his mansion, Vincent took the unconscious woman straight to her chambers, laying her gently on the bed.
Just then, Gabriel walked into the room with an older man and two young women.
Vincent turned to the older man.
"You can check on her. I want to make sure she's alright."
The man moved swiftly, placing his medical box on the dresser before opening it and bringing out his instruments. They all watched in silence as he examined her.
After a few minutes, he turned to the Viscount.
"She has a swelling on the side of her head, probably from an impact against something hard. Once she is well-rested and properly fed, she should recover smoothly."
"When will she wake up?" Gabriel inquired.
The physician looked back at Annette before turning to Gabriel.
"She will wake when she has fully recovered. I would advise allowing her to rest for as long as possible. Do feed her blood to speed up the healing process."
