"Whew, I think it's safe to say that was pretty productive, I'm wiped," I sighed as I stretched, wiping my sleeve across my forehead.
"Yeah, I worked up a good sweat...I'm going to need to train harder though, you've definitely pulled ahead of me physically now.
Once we really got in the swing of things, it felt like you were one step ahead of me," Aria sighed wistfully, before gulping down some water.
"Nah, I'd say it was more like half a step. And besides, you're way ahead of me with your full power unleashed, so I'd say it evens out," I pointed out with a wry smile.
A bit over two hours had passed since we began sparring. And the longer it went on for, the more intense it got, both of us were bruised all over by the end of it.
"Yeah, but you were fighting without a blade for most of it, you basically put a handicap on yourself...fighting bare-handed is my specialty, so I really should've done better."
