"This is the bedroom. As you can see, it's quite spacious. It comes with an attached bathroom, and you have a great view from the balcony."
"Yeah, this is pretty nice," I nodded, looking around the room before heading towards the bathroom and opening the door, peering in.
Nice, it's pretty spacious too, with a huge tub.
"The bathtub has a jacuzzi function, and like the rest of the house, it's fitted with a self-cleaning function too."
"Awesome, I definitely like that."
Today's the 2nd of March, 2169, I've been visiting a lot of properties over the last few days, looking for one to buy.
Today, I was at a luxury apartment, located in a great area. It was pretty close to the Hunters Union, and there was a shopping district nearby.
The place I was looking at was a three-room apartment in the building, on the seventh floor.
The front door opened into a large, spacious hall. To the left of the main entrance was a door leading into the kitchen, which was pretty big too.
There were three doors along the wall to the left of the hall, and one door on the wall to the right. The first door on the left wall led into the master bedroom, where I was right now.
The middle door was a second bathroom that also doubled as a laundry room, it was similar to the modern Japanese bathrooms of my previous era.
And the third door was a second bedroom, it was smaller than the master bedroom, but still plenty spacious. And the door on the right wall was a training room made for Hunters.
The walls, floor and ceiling of that room were heavily reinforced, and the building had a maintenance team on call for any repairs if and when necessary.
Except for the training room, the other two rooms and the hall all had their own balconies, with sliding glass doors.
The balconies in the rooms had a great view of the shopping district, full of lights and tall buildings, and the hall balcony overlooked a park by a river.
The top floor of the building had a pool and gym that the residents could use for free, and had state-of-the-art security systems installed too.
But arguably the biggest selling point is the self-cleaning function installed in all the apartments in the building, it was a fairly new technology, and involved vents with narrow slits across the bottom edges where the walls and floor met, as well as in the gaps between the tiles.
The vents vacuum up any dust and dirt, and while I will need to do a bit of manual cleaning myself from time to time since the vents are too narrow to suck in bigger bits of dirt, this'll still save me a whole lot of time and effort.
The self-cleaning installments in the bathrooms and tubs are different, there are jets that shoot out pressurized soapy water to clean the place and then drain the water away once it's done.
I like this place, it's definitely the best one out of all the options I've seen. It's on the more expensive side, but it's just about within my budget.
"So, what do you think? We have other options I can show you, but this is one of the best properties we have to offer."
"Yeah, I've decided, I'll take it," I replied with a smile.
"Very well, sir, we can proceed with the purchase once we draw up the paperwork, I just need to confirm what kind of payment scheme you would like to use. We have several installment plans and-..."
"No need for that, I'll pay the full amount up front, just let me know where to wire it and I'll make the transfer," I responded, giving him a thumbs up.
This place costs seventy-five million Credits, so I'll be using most of the money I got from my last raid, but I can just earn it back with a few more raids, and I'll still have a decent amount of money left over after this purchase anyway.
It's an unfurnished apartment, the rooms completely empty, so I'll have to buy a bunch of stuff to fill it up.
I should get a couple of couches and a coffee table or something for the hall, plus curtains for the sliding glass balcony doors...oh, I should get a coat rack and a shoe shelf too.
For the main bedroom, I'll need a bed, closet, and maybe a desk...hm, what else? Maybe a bookshelf?
I do like to read, but I don't mind reading digital books over physical copies...physically printed books are still a thing, but they're starting to die out.
The I-Watches have a lot of extra features and functions that you can buy, and one includes manifesting digital books into a physical hologram of a book that feels pretty close to the real thing, so the demand for printed books is at an all-time low these days.
Anyway, to get back on topic, what else will I need to buy?
The kitchen comes with an electric stove, but I'll need to buy appliances like a fridge, microwave, blender, toaster, and some other stuff.
I don't need to get much for the training room, maybe some workout equipment and wooden training swords, but beyond that, I think I'm pretty much set with that room.
As for the second bedroom...hm, think I'll turn it into a sort of rec room or game room. Yeah, I can get a mini-fridge and shelf for drinks and snacks, and-...
True, but I'm running out of space in Treasury, I've only got a handful of empty slots left. I'm going to need to go through it and free up some space, there are some items that I can probably do without or replace with something better.
And there are also some stuff that are currently spread out across multiple slots that I should be able to cram into one slot.
Anyway, I should wrap things up with purchasing this place first, I can put more thought into what I need to buy for it after that.
