Inside the cave, poisonous smoke permeated, shadow snakes entwined, and from time to time, people with daggers would jump out and charge around, incredibly resilient, often getting disabled only to hide in the ground.
A moment later, they would be fully healed, even after Josuke had used Time Stop and fiercely attacked them for a full seven seconds, leaving them a bloody mess.
Yet, they would simply disappear into the ground and reappear shortly after to assassinate them again.
Jotaro strongly suspected that the enemies had been killed countless times; their continuous reappearance was mainly because the ones being killed were not the originals, but rather replicas created by the President.
Jotaro knew that conventional confrontation would only lead to a war of attrition; with one side able to heal and the other able to replicate, it would be an endless fight.
Time was on the enemy's side; once the follow-up American forces arrived, a true inescapable net awaited them.
He had to take a desperate gamble!
A ruthless and effective plan quickly formed in his mind, hoping that the remaining few enemies wouldn't have an antidote.
"Josuke! Okuyasu! Koichi! This is going to be painful, but it's the only quick way to deal with them!"
Jotaro's voice, carried by the wind, reached his companions' ears, filled with an undeniable resolve, "Break the ground above us, trust me, and trust Josuke's ability!"
Jotaro looked at the chaotic shadows below, touched his nose, and dodged countless shadowy tentacles flying towards him.
"I admit your Stand is indeed very powerful, formless and intangible, impossible to harm, and extremely difficult to deal with, but I still have a way…"
Upon hearing Jotaro's words, Josuke, without a second thought, punched upwards, shattering the ground, even forgetting about the large amount of venom outside.
"Mr. Jotaro…"
Before the three could ask for details, a sharp glint flashed in Jotaro's eyes. Having just acquired Weather Forecast, he had learned some uses of this Stand from the memories of the man who previously wielded it, but he was still not proficient.
He had no choice but to go all out.
"Acid Rain Permeation!"
This time, Weather Forecast's ability was no longer defensive or disruptive, but a thorough, indiscriminate environmental attack. A large mass of dark clouds abruptly gathered in the sky, unleashing torrential acid rain, while the poison dart frogs multiplied and began to converge.
Simultaneously, a large amount of industrial waste gas also gathered, causing a downpour of toxic rain.
The poison dart frog venom on the ground, combined with the acid rain forcibly decomposing some soil minerals to produce acidic substances, along with various other toxic and harmful substances, all mixed and permeated.
In an instant, a highly toxic acid rain with a pungent odor, centered on the cave, poured indiscriminately over all surrounding areas, including their own location.
"Mr. Jotaro! You?!"
Okuyasu exclaimed, his face filled with disbelief. The toxic rain dripped onto his skin, immediately causing a burning, stinging sensation, and even numbness!
"Trust me! Josuke!"
Jotaro roared. He himself was enduring the corrosive toxic rain, but his eyes remained as cold as ice. His clothes were slowly melting away, and his flesh was being eroded into small holes by the acid rain.
But even as his flesh festered, he did not stop. He even used his hat to shield himself from the rain, still observing his surroundings with full concentration.
Just as he had expected, once the rain started, the shadows that had been reaching out from unknown places became still, and even slowly retreated.
The guards who frequently jumped out, daggers in hand, trying to stab them, also stopped their erratic movements. Everything seemed to vanish.
Higashikata Josuke instantly understood Jotaro's intention, 'This is a large-scale, indiscriminate attack?!'
This was to use the toxic rain to permeate every inch of soil, every crevice, forcing all hidden enemies to reveal themselves, or to directly poison them to death! And they themselves would endure it by relying on Crazy Diamond's continuous healing ability!
"This idea… as expected of Big Brother Jotaro! He's so smart, unlike my dull mind."
After hearing Josuke's explanation, Okuyasu couldn't help but admire the brilliance of the idea, "It's so clever, but your hair seems to be melting, aren't you going to do something about it?"
"DORARARARARARA!!"
Josuke roared, the glow of Crazy Diamond shining brighter than ever before, no longer merely healing wounds, but continuously repairing the parts of their four bodies being corroded by the acid.
This was an extremely energy-intensive process, like constantly patching a broken boat in a raging storm, but Josuke gritted his teeth, putting all his effort into maintaining it. He knew that perseverance was victory.
Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle—!
The toxic rain immediately reacted violently upon contact with the ground and walls. The earth seemed to let out a silent scream under the erosion of the toxic rain, rapidly dissolving and turning into complete wasteland.
The pervasive purple poisonous smoke was also neutralized or consumed by the acid rain. More fatally, the toxic rain permeated every crack in the ground!
"Ah—!"
"Oh no! The toxic rain is seeping in!"
"Get out of here!"
Deep underground, the painful screams and exclamations of the elite guards could be heard. Faced with the massive influx of venom and acid rain, they too had to start hiding everywhere.
The ability of the Gap Walker allowed them to hide in crevices, but now, these crevices had become death traps where venom accumulated.
Although they could close the gaps to prevent the venom from entering, the acid rain was now directly corroding away layers of earth. No matter how much they closed them, it wasn't as fast as the acid rain's corrosion. Jotaro truly had no regard for his own life.
Standing outside for even a second now would cause a layer of flesh to melt away. Under such conditions, even if an ordinary person could receive treatment, they would be driven insane by the pain.
But that madman Jotaro stood there so calmly, which even made the President feel a chill.
Watching the four individuals, like mud figures in a downpour, their bodies constantly dissolving and flowing downwards like scarlet soup, enduring solely through healing, the President's eyes widened.
"Don't these bastards fear death, don't they fear pain?!"
Especially Jotaro. The others, to varying degrees, were in unbearable pain, some almost collapsing to their knees, even Higashikata Josuke was in so much pain he almost couldn't maintain his Stand, but they were all shocked awake by Jotaro.
Jotaro himself, however, stood completely still through sheer willpower, defying his body's will, forcibly maintaining and even intensifying the toxic rain.
For a moment, the President even doubted who among them was truly the vampire; he felt that Jotaro was even less human.
"But Jotaro! You still forgot something!"
The President revealed a sinister smile, clapped himself, and another version of him appeared beside him. That other him jumped out without hesitation.
He seized the moment, and several drops of rainwater, channeled by his hat brim, splashed into Jotaro's eyes, causing him to instinctively close them. His eyes were corroded, and he unexpectedly lost his sight.
Higashikata Josuke was just barely holding on, trying to heal Jotaro. This was when they were most vulnerable.
The President's clone endured the pain of his body melting in the downpour. He pulled out an aja stone and a very thick laser pointer… Under the focused enhancement of the aja stone, this stone, which had already been modified into a laser gun-like device, instantly unleashed a terrifying laser, aimed directly at Higashikata Josuke!
