Chapter 2 - Seed of fate

"Feng Wuji has only recently turned ten years old. He is just about to start. cultivating. Though he is engaged to your daughter, we cannot have him focus on that for now," a deep voice echoed across the grand hall which was filled with majesty.

It was Feng Lang, the sect master of the celestial lotus sect. His eyebrows were sharp like blades, and he had long dark and black hair with had a glistening sheen. His purple eyes gleamed with wisdom and power, bearing a striking resemblance to Feng Wuji himself. He wore a red robe embroidered with gold and gems, and his presence filled the room with quiet authority.

The atmosphere was tense. Whatever the discussion was about, it was clearly of utmost importance.

"I agree, Patriarch Feng," said another man. "My daughter is only twelve. She has just started cultivating the siren beguiling heavenly cultivation technique and recently reached the Foundation Establishment Realm. I want her to focus on cultivating for now."

The man was the Emperor of the Tian Empire, dressed in a crimson robe with a short beard His voice carried command and confidence.

"Your daughter has reached Foundation Establishment?" an elder exclaimed from the side. "That's very impressive It's one of the hardest mortal realms to break through, especially while she's still so young"

"Indeed," another elder chimed in. "A single mistake during the process could cripple the foundation and cause deviation."

"Congratulations, Emperor Tian,"said a third elder.

The Emperor gave a faint smile. "Thank you, elders. It's only the foundation establishment realm nothing to boast about truly." But despite his words, you could tell by the slight smirk on his mouth that he was proud of his daughters accomplishment.

Patriarch Feng nodded calmly. "Even so, it is an exceptional feat. Then, shall we set the wedding ten years from now, when my turn is mature enough?."

"That sounds perfect, Patriarch Feng,".The Emperor said, satisfied.

"Excellent!" boomed an elder, his frail figure shaking with enthusiasm.

"That will be all for today,"Patriarch Feng announced as he stood, his robe swaying slightly. Without another word or glance, he turned and left the hall.

The elders bowed as the meeting ended and the court dispersed.

Outside, the Patriarch approached a guard stationed at the entrance.

"Is my son back?"he asked.

"Yes, Sect Master," the guard replied respectfully. "He returned earlier today. He's at his courtyard."

"Already?" Feng Lang raised a brow. He hadn't expected them back so soon they were supposed to spend at least two weeks with Elder Zhao, yet they returned after only eleven days.

"Very well," he said, nodding. He began walking toward the right, where Feng Wuji's courtyard was located. The guard bowed deeply and returned to his post.

As the Patriarch walked through the sect, disciples and elders stopped to bow. "Greetings, Sect Master!" they chorused.

He merely nodded in acknowledgment and continued walking.

Soon, faint laughter reached his ears. It came from his son's courtyard. When he entered, he found Feng Wuji, Mei Yi, and Tian Zhaobai sitting together by a tea table, laughing warmly.

Tian Zhaobai was a devastating beautiful girl just over twelve years old, dressed in a white robe like Mei Yi. Her long black hair shimmered like silk, and her grey eyes glowed with a mesmerizing charm. The Siren Beguiling Heavenly Technique truly lives up to its name, Feng Lang thought. Her beauty could make even spirits lose their composure.

"Sect Master Feng!"

"Father!"

"Sect Master!" they all exclaimed in unison, immediately rising to bow.

"Sit," Feng Lang said simply, taking a seat beside them. "Mei Yi, pour me some tea."

Mei Yi obeyed, pouring a cup of fragrant tea whose aroma refreshed the mind. She stepped back respectfully as the Patriarch took a sip.

"How was Elder Zhao's place?" Feng Lang asked. "Have you chosen the technique you wish to cultivate, Wuji?"

"Yes, Father," Feng Wuji replied confidently, bringing out the book from his side."I've chosen this one."

Feng Lang's gaze deepened. "Are you sure, Wuji? That technique is powerful—but dangerous. Many have failed to master it."

"I'm sure, Father, this is what I want to practice."

The Patriarch smiled faintly. "Very well."

Then his attention turned to Tian Zhaobai. "I see you've grown into quite the young beauty, Zhaobai."

The girl nearly choked, flustered that the most powerful man in the realm was addressing her directly. "Th-thank you, Sect Master Feng. You look very dashing yourself," she said shyly, lowering her head as her cheeks turned crimson

Her words caught both father and son off guard. Feng Lang chuckled lightly, while Feng Wuji's jaw dropped. They exchanged amused glances and laughed, while Tian Zhaobai wished she could vanish into the ground. Even Mei Yi, standing quietly at the side, couldn't help but smile.

Damn it! Feng Wuji said internally. This old man dares to make my fiancée blush! I'll make sure to repay this debt one day and for all those whippings too.

The atmosphere turned light and harmonious. They chatted and laughed until late in the evening, until tian zhaobai was called and she left with her father.

As the night deepened, Feng Lang turned to his son. "Wuji, you'll begin cultivating next week. Once you reach the Foundation Establishment Realm, you'll awaken your Primordial Spirit and Constitution. Our bloodline gives birth to powerful spirits, but you must be cautious—one wrong step and you could cripple your cultivation."

"Yes, Father," Wuji said firmly, he raised his head and looked at his father. "I'll make you proud."

"Good. Let's end the day here."

The Patriarch left the courtyard, and Feng Wuji soon retired to his room. Lying on his bed, he stared at the ceiling, thoughts swirling in his mind.

I'm about to begin cultivation at long last Maybe then I'll finally understand the strange visions I keep seeing and finally fill this emptiness inside me.

When he was five, he began to see all kinds of strangeand weird images in his mind chaotic worlds, demons, and collapsing skies and a crack in a very very dark space. His mother had warned him never to speak of it to anyone not even to his father. He didn't know why. Was that why she told him toc choose the abyss of celestial chaos cultivation technique when it was time to start cultivating. She seemed to know about it all but refused to tell him.

But soon, he would find out the truth about everything.

Morning mist drifted gently across the mountain peaks as the first rays of dawn brushed against the buildings of the Celestial Lotus Sect. The air was filled with spiritual energy, and it smelled of lotuses

Within a quiet courtyard, Feng Wuji called out "yier" "yes young master" she replied.

"Let's visit Elder Lan today," he said softly. "It is time for me to retrieve the elixir that will open my meridians so I can start cultivating "

The road to transcendence was endless, divided into nine mortal realms and five immortal realms before one could ascend into the Empyrean Realma realm which was the highest realm Feng wuji knew about.the mortal realms were

1. Meridian opening realm

2. Qi Refining Realm

3. Qi Vortex Realm

4. Foundation Establishment Realm

5. Elemental Vein Ralm

6. Nascent Soul Realm

7. Psyche Palace Realm

8. Dao Comprehension realm

9. Immortal ascension Realm

Feng wuji needed the meridian opening because mortals were born with their meridians sealed, their bodies filled with worldly impurities. Only by opening these twenty one sacred meridians could a cultivator purge the mortal filth and awaken the flow of spiritual energy.

However, not all meridians were alike. Some were naturally opengifts of fate. Others were tightly sealed, requiring treasures, pills or elixirs to unlock.

Feng wuji was born with sealed meridians that were made sealed when he was in the womb to avoid him absorbing impurities until he started cultivating.

Elder Lan was the elder in charge of the alchemy pavilion in the celestial lotus sect.

It was said that every pill he crafted contained the essence of heaven and earth. Under the direct command of the sect master, Elder Lan had prepared a set of rare azure wind Meridian Openigs elixirs for Feng wuji.

These elixirs, refined under the glow of the three celestial moons and tempered by divine herbs from the azure wind valley, were treasures that even the sect's core disciples could only dream of.
