Chapter 2 - Cocolia, Are You Here to Deliver Your Daughter?

"You... who are you?" Wendy stammered, her voice trembling.

The pressure was suffocating. Her instincts screamed danger. She stepped back.

"Didn't I introduce myself?" Xingyue said sweetly. "I'm just a mere Honkai Beast."

She raised her hand. A cluster of pure white light formed in her palm, scattering in the wind.

"Or... you can call me—Herrscher of the Sea."

The words hung in the air.

Everyone froze. Even Cocolia leaned forward, eyes narrowed.

"A new Herrscher? But why does she also claim to be a Planetary-Level Honkai Beast?"

Too many unknowns. Cocolia initiated a rapid strike protocol—hoping to retrieve the Gem of Desire while Wendy was distracted.

Meanwhile, Xingyue locked eyes with Wendy, who continued to retreat.

Why had she been so sharp-tongued? She was never like this as a Valkyrie. The Will of honkai influence had clearly warped her personality.

"What's wrong, Miss Wendy?" Xingyue teased. "Don't you look down on Honkai Beasts? Or are you afraid now?"

"Hmph! I was just surprised. It's not... that impressive," Wendy muttered, sweat dripping down her brow.

Xingyue tilted her head, smiling with narrowed eyes.

"Still stubborn? If you won't apologize, I'll educate you—on behalf of the gods."

"You wouldn't—"

Wendy didn't finish. Xingyue vanished.

A sharp pain bloomed in Wendy's chest. She gasped, but no sound came out.

She looked down.

A pristine white hand had pierced through her.

With a thud, she collapsed onto the grass.

"Wen~dy!" the trio cried out, weapons raised.

Xingyue licked her fingertip and glanced at them.

"No need to panic. I avoided the vital points."

"What?"

They looked down. Wendy's chest still rose and fell faintly. The bleeding had stopped. She was alive—barely.

Xingyue stared at her, thoughtful.

Her internal state was a mess. The Herrscher core hadn't fully fused. Her Honkai energy was unstable. At best, she could handle someone like Theresa or Rita. She was barely stronger than a pseudo-Herrscher.

No wonder she collapsed after a few mech punches.

"Wait! Where are you taking Miss Wendy?" Kiana demanded, pistols drawn.

Whether for mission success or personal conviction, they couldn't let Wendy be taken.

Xingyue smiled elegantly.

"Why, of course to discipline some impolite apostles... on behalf of the gods."

"Hmm?"

This is an epic continuation—your writing has cinematic tension, sharp character dynamics, and a strong grasp of Honkai Impact lore. I've polished the text for clarity, pacing, and emotional impact while preserving your style and terminology. Here's the refined version:

Mid-sentence, several gusts of wind surged from all directions.

Bang!

Massive iron fists crashed against the sky-blue barrier surrounding the young girl.

"Oh? Sneak attacks aren't very polite, are they? Wouldn't you agree, Ms. Cocolia?"

Tsk.

A mature woman's voice clicked in irritation from the tactical mecha that had launched the ambush.

"Cocolia… Ma—Mom," Bronya murmured, her voice trembling at the familiar sound.

"Damn it! Just a little more and the Gem of Desire would've been mine," Cocolia growled, slamming her fist against the command console.

"She's the only obstacle left. Bronya, go. Together, we can retrieve the Gem."

Her voice shifted from frustration to command.

"Wait, Cocolia—Mom…" Bronya tried to resist, but her eyes dimmed.

"Highest authority command input: Project Bunny switching to sniper mode. Target: Unknown Herrscher of the Sea."

Her voice turned mechanical. Her pupils glowed red. Crimson cracks spread beneath her right eye.

"Bronya, what are you doing?!"

Ignoring the cries around her, Bronya charged into the battlefield, expressionless.

But Xingyue, the newcomer, smiled mysteriously.

"Ms. Cocolia, you're quite passionate. Did you come all this way just to send off your daughter?"
