"Anyway, what about that answer? You said you'd give it to me once you get back."
Elias said as he took off his pants.
"How do the employees see me?" He asked, his tone sharp. "Do they fear me? Am I some sort of monster to them? That girl from earlier, she was so convinced I'd do something to her even when I hadn't spoken a word yet."
Not only did his tone sound sharper, but he was also quite talkative now.
"I didn't even need to try and I already became a bad guy." He laughed curtly, putting on the new pair of pants.
"Well, for starters, you made it quite clear that you and I wouldn't get along when you started working here," Isabelle said. "And most of the employees are my supporters so if we're at odds, do you think they'll be comfortable around you or try to please you?"
Her question didn't seem like a question at all.
In fact, it felt like she was telling him to his face that no one liked him because he had tormented her from the start.
