Kai didn't look back. He ran with so much vigour, and being a dragon didn't usher in any advantage at all despite being huge.
Okay, he could have said let him fly away—but being so far from the sun and still getting attacked like this, imagine what it would be when he was nearer, especially with him flying. The damage it would cause to him wouldn't even be comprehended.
"Papa, it's behind you..!" Theodore cried as he looked at the raging pit running after his father and all of them. Being so close to them, they were the possible victims that might be killed soon.
Kai didn't comment. Instead, his feet trudged harder on the ground as his body moved more vigorously. This time the radiation wasn't as brutal to them since they were completely moving and not staying in a particular place.
"We won't die as I said. Not today, definitely not today…" Kai promised and took harder to his heels, surpassing Maya who was growing weak.
