"You found him!" Maya smiled, spotting the young dragon cub behind Travis. The little one had refused to come out and see anyone, so he stayed there.
"Yeah, he didn't exactly disappear—just wanted to be alone. Now he's back." Travis defended the boy, and Theodore shot him a grateful smile as Maya nodded at his words.
Kia, on the other hand, looked a bit confused. He'd heard that Theodore had disappeared and Travis went to find him. So looking at Travis, then at his little one, he walked closer to the boy and opened his arms.
"Come to Papa. Let's eat." He motioned for him to come nearer, and little Theodore, of course, listened. If not for his Papa and Mama, he paid attention to no one—especially those kids eyeing him like he'd stolen their joy.
They both glared at him from where they stood, and it made Theodore uncomfortable. So he took Derek's hand, and the man led the way to where food waited—food he should have eaten long ago but missed because he'd disappeared.
