I slowly opened my eyes and froze when I realized he was staring at me.
"Have you been awake for long?" I asked.
He smiled. "Good morning… I just woke up. I wanted your face to be the first thing I see."
"Oh. Okay."
I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "I should get going. Thanks for letting me sleep here."
"You're leaving already?" I nodded and stood, fixing the sheets.
"Won't you stay for a little longer? You know I feel lonely when you're not around."
"We'll see each other soon," I said, smiling as I ruffled his hair. "You have Clover anyway."
"But I want you to stay here. I like you more than Clover."
I froze at what he said, but still managed to smile.
"You remind me of a cat," I teased.
"By the way, have you seen a maid outfit with a cat headband?"
I stiffened at his question. He scratched the back of his neck. "It's missing. I left it under my desk."
I looked away. "I… I don't know. But what was the maid outfit for?"
