[Max's POV]
The Titan roared at me, almost annoyed, and lunged at me with the speed of sound, causing a sonic boom. This caused whatever player was getting up to get ready for attack to clutch their ears and fall down.
I smiled seeing its annoyance and fired two rays of crimson bolts from orbs of VermillionVolt from either side. The deep red bolt rushed towards the roaring Titan, matching its speed.
The Titan pulled his fist back and then punched at the coming bolts. However, the bolts, instead of colliding with his punch, turned like living rope and curved around his hand to bypass his defense and went straight for his wing on his back.
The Titan became surprised and tried to stop the bolt from hitting its wing, disturbing its full-speed momentum towards me. But the bolt hit the base of the wings anyway.
The flapping wings of Titan suddenly came to a halt; he was a few meters short of reaching me, but the sudden halt and disturbed momentum caused him to hurl downwards.
A shrill voice filled the air, but this time it was more of a scream instead of a roar. I followed the falling Titan from a distance.
In a few seconds, it hit the rocky ground, a loud bang followed by THROOOM—KRAAASH—GRRND!! Sound.
There was only groaning of Titan and breaking stones sound for about 30 seconds.
Seeing Titan trying to rise up, I dove down at speed, activating my mana shield at max capacity.
As I neared the Titan, I slowly turned my body and slammed my foot straight into the abdomen area of the Titan.
I flew away after inflicting more injury. The Titan stood on the ground slowly. I was curious as to how much damage an A-rank monster can take before being completely disposed of.
It tried to flap its damaged wing and groaned more. The VermillionVolt not only damaged the base of the wing, but the mixture of blood and lightning had traveled into his whole body, making him slow, sluggish, and stupid, I guess.
I added six orbs to make three large orbs, which converted into constructs of three large arrows.
The boss tried its last effort by throwing the spiral bolt of electricity again, but it was comparatively weak now.
A single VermillionVolt arrow met it head-on, and both canceled out, making a beautiful spectacle of blood and electricity burning up each other.
I looked at the spent boss Titan and muttered, "Maybe S-rank ones will be more challenging," and fired both arrows simultaneously.
The arrows with great speed hit the Titan in the head and heart. The boss Titan monster fell down, making a groaning voice.
The storm and lightning in the area subsided slightly; I looked around, and most players were getting back up from the AoE attacks of the Titan. A few players who were close probably died and respawned at the borders.
I fluttered by on almost invisible 'Eclipsion' wings and hurried off to continue my free-for-all slaughter again.
I heard a few players talking about who took down the boss, but I don't want to get dragged into unnecessary confrontation or any other situations, so I increased my speed to get out of central zones.
I had 4 more hours until the boss came up again, so I took the same route, roaming and killing any monsters.
From one plane to another, I journeyed and killed every monster in sight, experimenting with my Plasma and Vermillion Volt. As time neared, I made my way back to Central Plain.
I saw the same as before, players rushing but this time staying slightly at the border to not get caught in its AoE attack.
There was a storm brewing at the center, which was slightly suspicious because it was not chaotic and aggressive enough like last time.
As I neared the storm, there was still no reaction. An image came into my view, but it was not the expected Titan but that of a humanoid woman.
I stopped at a reasonable distance, and the system panel popped up with information.
[Realm Boss – Voltara 'The Storm Empress']
[Rank – A]
[Skills – Stormforge Spear, Thunder Step, Magnetosphere, Stormbirth Ritual]
I looked at the monster, but she looked less instinctual or aggressive, unlike the Flying Titan. She also has some semblance of intelligence in her eyes, this was first time after seeing Wolfie.
All Players were also closing in seeing no apparent attack, but suddenly I felt a pull and all the players including me hurled ourselves towards her.
I resisted the pull by employing the full force of my wings and got out of the pull in a few seconds. I took a deep breath and exhaled and said, "This must be the Magnetosphere skill."
I didn't waver my eyes of her as she felt more of tactical type instead of straight charging in ones. However suddenly she disappeared from my vision.
The next second, I felt something breaking my mana shield and hitting me in the spinal area of my back, but I only felt a slight push.
I hurriedly flew away from my position and turned to witness; there she was with a spear made from pure thunder in her hand. Looking at her, I noticed she was covered in metallic armor.
"Hahahaha....well, you are first to be able to break my shield and able to be in a position to harm me. This will fun," I commented and took out Lamina.
She hummed happily in my hand, roaring to go.
"Looks like we have a contender for us" I said to Lamina and vibrated with a positive response.
I readied to attack, then I saw her raising her hand. I alerted myself and even used spatial skill to sense any changes in space from her teleportation.
However, instead of getting any usual lightning attack, a magic circle appeared in front her and multiple small ethereal beings made of storms and lightning appeared from circle.
6 In total, all turned and rushed towards me.
I chuckled and spoke, "I can also summon something, just don't on there size."
6 orbs of plasma appeared in front of me. I fired 6 plasma rays straight at there heads. They melted and disappeared in the air.
First time, she screamed. I flew towards her, edge of my sword coated with fire with specks of lightning flickering on the surface.
I reached in front of her, she still didn't attack, I raised my sword in front of her and said, "Let's see much better you can use your spear."
And we lunged at each other for a frontal clash.
