It had officially been a week since I had entered the world of naruto and a week since I had befriended protagonist-kun. The week was spent just training, attending classes, and training with naruto. I also noted down everything I remembered about the world of Naruto. Everything I could remember was noted, even filler. I noticed that this world was slightly different. Teachers didn't hate Naruto, but everyone else disliked the blond heavily which I didn't like. Speaking of the blond.
Naruto raised his left hand hoping to punch me. I shifted my legs to try and dodge the blond's attack. Naruto saw this and shifted his stance quickly to accommodate my attempt to dodge. Naruto's left hand connected with my face. I was knocked back.
"I give up" I croaked out rubbing my cheek. For an entire week, Naruto had been kicking my ass thoroughly every day but I had been getting better. We didn't really have a taijutsu style and we fought like brawlers but it was fun. I needed to get faster and stronger soon. Naruto's stats had to have been at least three times mine. I really wanted to catch up. Getting your ass kicked 42 times in a row(Yes I counted) wasn't something I enjoyed
"Oh c'mon already kukui it hasn't even been 5 minutes yet" Naruto whined. Yes, I had lasted less than five minutes every "spar" It was sad really. I had improved quite a bit already though. My stats must have at least gone up by one. Running also leveled up to level 4. Great skill truly. I had almost overtaken Sakura in class. I needed to level up my constitution more and also needed to get faster. Sadly my constitution hasn't leveled up at all as it was my highest stat already it was harder to level up.
'Speaking of stats. Stats' I called out in my mind.

Sadly my strength only went up by one just like dexterity but still, it was underleveled and Naruto could still kick my ass with relative ease. I was putting together a training regimen for both me and Naruto so we could improve. I really was looking forward to starting it. Physical conditioning should level up a ton because of it!
"I know, I know. I'm not as strong as you, you ball of energy" I told the blond from where I was laying down. Naruto had a killer left hook. I would have said something more clever but I was tired. I really needed to level up constitution
"Sorry I always forget you're not as strong as me," Naruto said, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. Now Naruto was benefiting from this by learning better technique. I get better physically.
"It's fine. I need to get better. Anyways how about we get something to eat? I can make something" I offered. We usually went our separate ways after the sparring ended. But I was hungry and Naruto looked hungry too so why not?
"R-Really?" Naruto asked. I looked at him like he was an idiot. I had made it clear on the third day that I wasn't a liar when I asked him if he would want to stay and talk for a bit. I sighed.
"Yes, naruto. I'm hungry and I'm craving something fulfilling" I said and naruto looked at me curiously like he was wondering what I said. I facepalmed Naruto's vocabulary wasn't as big as mine, I looked back at the blond. "I mean I'm hungry and want to eat a lot" I clarified to the blond. Naruto nodded.
Naruto looked back and grinned. "If you're that hungry how bout' we go get the food of the gods?" Naruto asked. He looked happy. Excited even. I thought about it for a second. Sure ramen was unhealthy but cooking sounded like a pain in the ass in the state I was and I imagine cooking for naruto would be a lot, to say the least. So ramen sounded good even if my poor wallet would be crying
I smiled making a choice "Sure, I've been hearing about this food of the gods for a whole week so might as well try it" I told the hyperactive blond who quickly grabbed my hand.
"Well, c'mon we gotta get there like yesterday!" Naruto exclaimed. He looked really excited at the fact I agreed to go to ichiraku ramen. I had always wanted to try ramen to be honest. No better time than now. I wonder what beef ramen tastes like? Anyways naruto dragged us throughout Konoha getting us stares from many people. Most evil but there were some curious looks I saw. I would have glared at the evil faces but we were going too fast. By this point, I was getting dizzy from the speed of his dragging me around the village.
As the blonde kept dragging me through the village I began feeling sick. Suddenly ichiraku ramen came into sight
"We're here!" Naruto happily announced as we made an abrupt stop. I looked for the nearest trashcan to empty the little contents of my stomach. I always hated getting dizzy. It really just made me sick. Well if I wasn't hungry before I was now. I quickly threw up in a trash can right by ichiraku's
"You could have warned me before grabbing me!" I berated the blond. I probably should have stopped him during the little trip around the entire village but I wasn't thinking clearly it seems. Oh well can't do anything about it now
"Hehe sorry," Naruto said, giving me an unapologetic grin. "Now let's go in! And you can try the noodles gifted from the gods themselves" Naruto praised the noodles like they were gods themselves. ' If this isn't as good as he is saying I'm honestly going to be disappointed I thought as we looked to the stand only to see a sign
"Closed due to maintenance" I read. What a shame really I really wanted to try some beef ramen
"What the hell?" Naruto cried out. Like I said, what a shame.
"It's okay naruto. I can make some ramen at home. It'd be-" I was cut off by Naruto pouncing on me. He was frothing at the mouth
"BUT IT'S NOT ICHIRAKU'S" Naruto whined. He was really saddened by the lack of miso ramen. His favorite if I recall correctly.
"I know but you could get some later. As much as you want. But for now, you're going to need to settle for cup ramen" I said. We probably needed to get out of here before a scene was caused. Preferably home where I could read my notes. I would have to hide them though. I'd also have to see if I had an inventory. That would be very useful. I would love to have one. Later research was required. 'Can't believe I forgot about that though' I berated myself internally
"Fiiinee" Naruto whined. "But ya better have a lot of ramen to make up for this" Naruto said. "Now where do we go?" Naruto asked.
"Here follow me" I dusted myself off quickly. Naruto began following me and we were in comfortable silence. This gave me some time to think about the past week's events, thankfully. 'Okay, I've been training with Naruto for a week. I've also written down everything I remembered about canon. I need to figure out if I have an inventory. Also, I need to look into different avenues of the shinobi like iryojutsu or fuinjutsu. Something I could learn somewhat now whilst getting my physical stats up. Anything would do as long as I could get my hands on it. Then there is the academy. I haven't advanced in rank so far but I'm getting better. Kiba is still being a raging asshole to me and naruto. No surprises there. And finally, Iruka is noticing my small improvement. Is that all? okay yeah, I think so' I thought as we arrived at my apartment complex. I saw dirty looks from neighbors that I knew disliked the blond. I flipped them off.
"Okay we're here" I opened the door and naruto entered with a quick alright! and then I entered closing and locking my door.
"Wow, it's so clean!" Naruto exclaimed looking around.
"Yeah I tend to clean a lot," I said walking to the kitchen and grabbing the biggest bowl I could find and around 20 cups of ramen. I was prepared for this day. I quickly dumped all the ramen cups into the bowl and stuffed the giant bowl into the microwave. I grabbed myself a box of cereal I had bought the day before. "Your ramen will be done in a few minutes," I said, grabbing a handful of the cereal and stuffing myself with it.
"Aight," Naruto said.
"You can sit down by the way. We need to talk" I said. I wanted to let him know about the new training regimen I had prepared for both of us.
Naruto sat down with a sigh. "Whatcha want to talk bout?" Naruto asked curiosity written all over his face.
I sat down across from him. "Alright, Naruto, I created a training regimen for the both of us. We need to catch up to Kiba and Sasuke" I added that last part to try and convince the blond.
"Really? Well spill it already" Naruto said, looking excited.
"Well here" I got up from my seat and grabbed a piece of paper which I handed to naruto who quickly grabbed it and read over it.
"Three laps around the village? Are you a slave driver? " Naruto asked after reading my list of frankly sadistic training. It's not like he'd get tired with Kurama in his gut. But... yeah it was kind of extreme. I looked at him and grinned.
"Nope I could have put 6 but I decided to pity me and you. This should be a great way we can catch up to the top of the class physically" I explained. Naruto nodded and I smirked. I knew he'd accept
"Just because I'm agreeing doesn't mean I like it though," Naruto grumbled seeing my grin turn into a smirk.
"Good. We begin tomorrow after class naruto. Also tomorrow we can do something you want to to make up for it" I told the blond. I think it was a fair trade. I get to train us both into the ground. Some poor civilian gets pranked or I get pranked.
Naruto's eyes lit up. "Anything you say?" He asked with hope clear in his eyes.
"Yup, surprise me," I told naruto. His eyes lit up more
"Naruto opened his mouth to talk but
*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*
I got Naruto's ramen quickly and gave it to him. He looked very excited
"So much ramen! Thank you, thank you, thank you" Naruto said as I handed him some chopsticks. It was truly incredible seeing Naruto eat ramen. He pretty much inhaled it. After Naruto ate we had some small talk for a little while before naruto decided to leave. I decided to take this moment to see if I had an inventory or not.
I picked up one of my three notebooks. 'Inventory' I called out in my mind. A screen containing 3 empty slots appeared in front of me. I was disappointed. Only three slots. At least I could place my notes in there for safety. That made my worries about being discovered go down quite a lot.
Now I had to do something for the rest of the day. Maybe I could go to the library and try to learn something that interests me. Or I could procrastinate for the rest of the day and wait for tomorrow. Iruka did say we were having a lesson on important shinobi in Konoha's history
Option number 2 sounded very interesting to me. I hadn't had real time alone since I first entered this world. So some extra time sounded nice.
I elected to just do some reading. Luckily the past kukui had books he never bothered reading. Oddly enough he had Jiraiya's first book. The Tale of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi. I had the time so why not read it?
The next day
"And that's how Konoha was founded," Iruka said, finishing his explanation on how Madara and Hashirama founded Konoha. The first part of today's lecture. Next was about Hiruzen sarutobi and the sannin the next most important figures that came along.
"So cool. No wonder why Sasuke-kun is so strong" I heard the fangirls for the Uchiha chorus. I felt bad for the Uchiha. I really did but better him than me.
I tuned them out before I felt my ears bleed. I looked over to Naruto who had started sitting next to me. "You really like her," I said pointing toward sakura who was screeching about how sasuke was the best. I had liked Sakura in the anime but damn she was a raging fangirl before Sasuke left Konoha.
"I get what ya mean now," Naruto said, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. I had been trying to convince him to give up his crush on the pinkette for the week. It just sucked to see Naruto get rejected every time he tried to ask her out. It finally worked thankfully
"It's fine now, let's pay attention to sensei. We potentially could learn something" I put emphasis on potentially.
"Fine but if it gets boring I'm not gonna listen," Naruto said. He really hated class.
"Good"
"SHUT UP EVERYONE" Iruka used the big head jutsu to make everyone quiet down. It worked like a charm. "Now class we are moving on to the era of the sandaime Hokage. Are there any questions?" Iruka asked. Nobody raised their hands thankfully. "None. Okay good now the sandaime Hokage was part of the first generation of ninja produced by Konoha since its founding and once he graduated he and his teammates were placed under the tutelage of Tobirama senju the second hokage. The sandaime early on displayed prodigious talent in the ninja arts...
Iruka droned on about the sandaime until we got to the sannin.
I, of course, knew the sannin but still the more knowledge I didn't know would intrigue me so I opted to listen extra carefully here.
Iruka went on to explain the sannin and what they did and what each one ended up becoming(abridged version with a little twist of the truth)
Basically, the sannin were Konoha's golden trio that everyone strived to be except for the Orochimaru defection part.
I was interested in something else. Iruka explained a little of what they could do and Medical jutsu appealed to me along with super strength. I could solve my strength problems and be a pain in the ass to take down. I also liked summoning and of course ninjutsu. But the ones that appealed to me most were the ones that made my problems go poof.
I now had an idea of what I wanted to learn at least.
After the lectures ended it was time to go outside again. I had been using running for the past week but not to its fullest potential. I had only been using it for around 5 seconds.
"Ready to lose again, loser" Kiba taunted. I was starting to get sick of his shit. He kept calling me loser for the past week since I had embarrassed him. Normally I would stay quiet and naruto would defend me. But I didn't want to hear any of kiba's shit today
"Nope. Today you're eating my dust" I told the mutt. I really wanted to beat him today. I felt like I could do it
"Hah I'd be surprised if you could even eat my dust" Kiba mocked keeping his fragile ego in check

"Doubt it, today you're the one eating my dust," I told Kiba. I was confident in my running ability with the increase in running speed I should be able to overtake Kiba. The key word being should
"Yeah you're gonna eat our dust today Kiba" Naruto said, backing me up. 'Good to know'
"Enough banter you three. Get to the starting point" Iruka said, pointing to where we were supposed to start. All three of us walked to the starting point in between everyone else. I had something to prove today and I wasn't going to back down.
"Alright, everyone. You all know the drill. 3 2 1 START" Iruka said. Everyone began running. Kiba smirked cockily at me and Naruto like he was saying he was better than us. I looked at naruto who looked mad. I was mad too. Naruto also sped ahead after kiba. leaving me behind
Kiba was already ahead by quite a bit. I began running faster. Pushing my legs further than before. I would activate running if I was close to Kiba. I caught up with Sakura who wasn't too far behind ino and Hinata, the best of the girl's side. and they weren't too far behind Shino, Naruto, Kiba, and Sasuke. I just needed to be faster. I had to be faster. 'COME ON LEGS GO FASTER" My legs complied with my wish and they began to push themselves more. I sped past a jealous sakura and eventually ino. I saw I couldn't get past Hinata
'Running activate' I called out in my mind. I felt faster right away. My strained legs began carrying me past Hinata and eventually shino and naruto. "Three seconds left," I muttered to myself.
I caught up with Kiba. 'Come on I just need to pass this asshole even for a second' I thought. It looked like I was going to catch up to him. The ending was near and I could taste victory. Then I began to slow down. 'NO, NO, NO WHY NOW?' I asked to nothing
Naruto, shino, and Hinata passed me then ino who smiled and stuck out her tongue at me. Sakura was about to pass me and finish seventh. 'I can't let that happen' I thought. I ran just faster than before out of sheer willpower. I crossed the finish line.
I collapsed. I finished in a placement better than sakura. I could say that at least.
Naruto came up to me. "Hey kukui are you okay? You pushed yourself pretty hard" Naruto asked worryingly. He saw the abuse I just subjected my legs to.

I dismissed the screens with a grin. I needed to raise my constitution stat more so I wouldn't kill my legs. 7 was a great start. "Oh, I'm doing just fine. My legs are absolutely killing me though" I said. I needed some time to rest for sure.
Kiba then came up to the both of us. A smug smile was evident on his face "Haha told you you couldn't catch up to me losers. You should really give up now, loser' Kiba mocked. I couldn't wait to wipe that smug smile off of his face. One day. I would just have to bide my time. Not for long though. I wouldn't want to keep the asshole waiting. I raised up my hand and flipped him off. Grinning all the while
"Oh go screw yourself Kiba. I know you want to" I told the inuzuka heir. He only got angry from that. Luckily for me, Iruka came up to the three of us. Kami bless that man he deserved a raise
"Quit antagonizing kukui Kiba. He's working hard too," Iruka told Kiba as Naruto helped me up.
"Thanks naruto" I told the orange-clad kid as we went to the spot we had first talked at a week ago. It had become our area as nobody wanted to be near Naruto except for me it seemed. One day they'd all become his friends but for now, they were just assholes.
"Don't mention it. We need to make sure you're okay for those push-ups" Naruto grinned as soon as he mentioned the push-ups. My worst enemy.
I groaned. "Did you really have to remind me Naruto?" I asked. He got to know my hate for push ups after the week we spent training together
"Of course I did! Someone had too" the grinning blond said
"A man could dream couldn't he," I said laying down. I was happy we had mandatory breaks after the running. Bless whoever pushed for that.
Naruto laughed. "You sound like Shikamaru with that tone," Naruto said.
"At least I'm not as lazy as him" I threw back. I really wish I could be though. Lucky bastard
Before we could banter some more Iruka announced the break was over. I walked over with Naruto and we began going through the training exercises. The push-ups sucked as usual. At least I got something out of it this time

'I can't wait to see if this can get to 100%. That'd be so broken' I thought as we all finished the exercises. Truly I hated these exercises with a passion of a thousand exploding suns. I can't wait for the day I no longer needed these
By this time the academy had ended for the day. I realized something... Me and naruto had to begin the new training regimen. My legs ached already. Great.
Naruto came up to me grinning. "Hey kukui, remember what you told me yesterday?" He asked, still grinning seeing the hatred for push-ups in my eyes. I knew already what he was going to ask
"Y-yes" I croaked out with clear pain in my voice.
"Well I know how much you love your training and since we are going to be doing a lot today how about you do an extra thousand push-ups!" Naruto exclaimed. The bastard knew I hated them more than anything else. I would get my revenge one day. I wouldn't make naruto wait for this though I would quickly and swiftly get my vengeance
"Oh you evil bastard," I told the blond as I got up. Said blond bastard grinning and laughing. Naruto dragged me to our regular training grounds.
