But peace is fragile. Generations later, King Louise, the boy's fifth descendant, lost his beloved wife—and with her, his sanity. In grief, he turned cruel, starving his people. The once-honorable family opposed his tyranny. Enraged, King Louise ordered their execution—all at once, in their warmest place, their home.
