Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

"Great!"

Will System snapped his fingers with delight. It was his habit to snap his fingers whenever he was pleased.

"When the sauna temperature rose to 200 degrees before, your body temperature would remain high for an hour, making it difficult to cool down. That's extremely bad for your body in the long term."

He looked very proud of himself.

"I exchanged letters with Mr. S for a month. He said the best method is to fight fire with fire—mix it with the gastric juice of the ice dragon, the natural opponent of the flame dragon. But the magic circuits are hidden deep in the arteries, and the most effective way to cool the body is to expand the arterial cross-section. The body must be carried and adjusted daily, allowing the ice to infiltrate the blood slowly. Otherwise, the sudden clash of ice and fire could be too violent…"

Will snapped his fingers a second time.

"I racked my brain, thought long and hard, and finally devised a good solution."

A third snap of his fingers followed.

"Just use a collar! I'm brilliant! The contact area is large, it's easy to carry—perfect!"

"Eh?" Yiel's face was puzzled."So… what is the collar for? And gastric juice? This… this thing has gastric juice in it? So… the indescribable sensation… is gastric juice?"

Yiel's small face turned pale. She knew the young master sometimes acted a little crazy, but she hadn't expected this level of madness.

"It's to take good care of you, just like I took care of that dog before!"

Will thought to himself: if that dog could be trained to fight monsters, raising a wolf-girl maid with innate magical absorption abilities should be far easier.

Yiel thought to herself: even if the gastric juice part is a little gross, he really does care for me like a dog! So exciting… it's almost enough to make me cry!

"Then, Yiel…"

Will reached out and touched the collar around her neck, brushing it lightly against her throat, making her feel a little ticklish.

"Since this is your first experiment, tell me if you feel any discomfort. It will need adjustment if necessary. But don't worry—I'll make it perfect."

"Okay… okay…"

"Oh, and you don't need to wear it every time you practice—it will affect the results."

"Um!"

"Let me think… if all goes well, you can put it on every morning and take it off before bed. I estimate that your body's resistance to high temperatures will improve dramatically within a year."

"Uh-huh!"

"Then today—"

"Master Will—"

Yiel suddenly hugged him.

Through the towel, Will felt Yiel's slightly damp softness pressing against him.

"You haven't dried yourself yet."

"Thank you, Master, for taking such good care of me! Because you take care of me so well, I will be your dog for the rest of my life—woof woof! Wait… why is your right nostril bleeding too?"

Super cute… super canine… super clingy… super maid… all from Yiel.

Hmm… something isn't quite right…There must be something off…

The sun is shining! So proper! So adorable!

It was far from the dark, twisted image Will had imagined. He thought to himself: did I develop her this way by mistake?

"Ahem. No, Yi'er, I need to give you a proper makeup lesson. Come to the back garden this afternoon."

"Eh?"

In the back garden of the System family, spring's beauty was in full bloom, flowers opening one after another.

In a small pale-white pavilion, a tiny blackboard displayed a cartoon head resembling Will, and a smaller cartoon head resembling Yiel. Yi'er's cartoon head was lifelike and very cute.

On the table, a cup of steaming tea awaited, made by Yi'er herself.

"Master?"

"From now on, please call me Teacher Will."

Will pushed up his glasses. Though only fourteen, he looked every bit the young teacher.

"Okay, Mr. Will. And if you don't drink the tea quickly, it'll get cold, right?"

"It will."

Will picked up the cup and took a sip. The tea was indeed excellent. Four years later, Yiel's tea-making skills had improved even further.

However, he remembered his bald mathematics teacher from his previous life, who always drank tea before class, so he set the cup down.

"Now, let's review what we learned in class before."

"No problem."

Yiel was very serious. A notebook lay in front of her, the words crooked but carefully written. The scratches of each letter were still visible through the ink.

"Okay, what are the three most basic theorems of Black Love?!"

Though Yiel couldn't fully understand why the young master added the words *black… blackening* in front of Love Studies, she tried to follow along.

Using her brain—the one that had never attended school—she memorized the course material.

"First: it's impossible to win a man's heart without actively pursuing him!"

"Very good."

"Second: men are just fools. If you don't infect them with your passionate heart, they won't be impressed!"

"Good."

"Third: the strongest love is often expressed in the wildest ways!"

"Perfect!"

Will felt satisfied. The words he had drilled repeatedly into Yiel's mind had finally taken root. He felt a small sense of relief.

Jie Jie—although obedient on the outside—was gradually developing a dark streak within.

"Then, Yi'er, let's take another quiz from this book."

Will pointed to the *Three Hundred Questions of Darkness* he had written himself.

"Okay, Young Master. Yiel is ready."

Will reflected: Yiel had indeed become much livelier. He had never expected that the obedient, cowardly maid of her previous life would transform so thoroughly.

"What should you do if you meet someone you like while shopping with friends on the street?"

"Track them! Record their whereabouts!"

"How do you confess to someone you like?"

"Smile, grin, and say: 'I like you the most.'"

"Rejected?"

"Tie them in the basement and let them feel your feelings!"

"What if they still reject you after multiple attempts?"

"Kill them! Then we can be together forever!"

"Okay, good study!"

Will thought to himself: this book taught the dark, yandere tendencies of girls in various situations. Since Yiel grew up with him, whatever he whispered in her ears subtly shaped her personality in the most profound ways.

"Yiel has learned very well. Remember this when you meet someone you like in the future. Girls must understand love from an early age so they aren't bullied as they grow."

"Yiel understands!"

Yi'er was grateful to her young master. Though he sometimes acted crazy, he taught her not only how to read and write but also special courses fit for aristocratic schools. According to him, this was the first lesson girls at aristocratic schools should take: love science.

What a kind-hearted young master!

"But, Master… why do these lessons sound… well… I'm not saying anything's wrong with you, Master, but it feels… a little strange?"

"Aha… you… it's just your imagination. Don't take it too seriously. Now that you have the theory, let me demonstrate it."

"Demo?"

"Um…"

Will smiled, stepped closer to Yiel, and drew a black ribbon from his hand.

"For example, if you truly want to implement this theory and confess to someone…"

"How do you do it?"

He asked in a low tone, serious and deliberate, not frivolous at all.
