Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: The Third Assessment Begins

"Why… does his divine world affect me?"

Zhao Kongcheng gasped for breath, still trying to regain composure.

Chu Hao, however, had already fully entered the third stage of his assessment.

Countless tiny light particles, carrying immense energy, streamed into the Endless Abyss.

Among them, a single large light particle—representing a legendary creature—was also transmitted.

Upon their arrival, all abyssal creatures immediately grew restless.

The entire abyss… boiled!

From the abyssal flora at the upper layers, to the primal demons hunting for growth, to the abyssal Leviathans in the chaotic waters, the large-eyed monsters in the poison mist nests, and the hundred-armed giants in the blood-soaked swamps…

Every abyssal creature instantly focused their gaze through countless dimensions upon the Wanyuan Plains.

Finally, their attention rested on the alien war army, a massive force crossing from mid-to-high dimensions.

The third-stage assessment—the dreaded stage that had defeated countless graduates and destroyed numerous divine worlds—had begun.

---

As the transmission ended, a human army of roughly twenty thousand emerged at the apex of the Endless Abyss.

They were clad in heavy armor of gray and white, their weapons, armor, and mounts uniformly standardized.

On their shoulder plates was embroidered an emblem of a twelve-winged flaming angel.

Beneath the emblem, golden threads formed the number **13**, accompanied by individual unit numbers.

More crucially, the aura exuded by each member of this army was overwhelming.

This aura, stemming from the emblem, instantly cleared the surrounding abyssal energies of the Endless Abyss.

Though the black-red vortex above twisted everything around them, its efforts were futile until the aura dissipated.

After neutralizing the abyssal influence, these soldiers felt no discomfort, moving as if in their own world—a phenomenon unseen even in prior orc or dragonblood units.

---

At the front of this twenty-thousand-strong legion stood a towering man, over 2.3 meters tall.

He wore a white metallic armor, a dragon-horned helmet, and wielded a flaming greatsword.

Beneath him rode a massive hybrid steed of beast-spirit lineage.

Removing his helmet, he revealed a resolute face, glancing at the twisted, barren world before him.

"We've arrived…" he murmured, looking skyward at the hostile vortex above.

He spoke to his aide:

"This… truly is a terrifying world."

The aide nodded respectfully.

"Yes, Lord Magnus. This place is filled with evil and death. We shall purify it under the watchful eyes of the angels."

Magnus smiled faintly at the reply:

"Yes, under the divine gaze of the angels, we will cleanse this damned world…"

Suddenly, he froze.

A chilling sensation gripped him, like icy hands clutching his heart, ripping through his lungs and insides.

Following this feeling, Magnus saw at the end of his vision a humanoid creature, clad in black-and-red scales.

Its back bore wings larger than his own body, its claws dripping with blood from unknown creatures.

Fangs smeared with flesh gleamed ominously as its mouth opened and closed.

In its crimson eyes reflected Magnus's 13th Legion.

Around the creature, more abyssal beings began to gather, all twisted and inherently malevolent.

This creature was a vassal of the Endless Abyss—a primal demon.

However…

It was not this creature that caused Magnus's dread.

As a peak legendary, he did not fear such beings.

The real terror was the black vortex behind the primal demon.

Within its stormy depths, a pair of crimson eyes—identical to the demon's—stared directly at Magnus.

This was the personification of the Endless Abyss itself—the will of the abyss!

"It is observing us…"

"Why does merely its gaze make me feel… my faith crumbling?"

A foreboding sense, like cracks spreading through porcelain, crept up from Magnus's core, seeping into his very being.

---

Meanwhile, in the observation room:

"Chu Hao's third assessment has begun?"

Vice President Wang Zhi focused, quietly observing Chu Hao, the genius he had once recognized.

When he saw the army manifest within the Endless Abyss, he was astonished.

"This… is the 13th Legion of the Flame Angels?"

"Why was Chu Hao assigned a third-stage assessment designed specifically to purify evil beings?"

An army under divine angelic protection?

As Tianding University's vice president and a figure of real authority, Wang Zhi understood the special nature of this assessment world better than most.

"Coincidence… or fate?"

"This legion is a bane for most dark-aligned divine worlds. Normally, any dark realm would crumble under their might. That's why I significantly reduced the probability of them being assigned…"

"Wait!"

Wang Zhi realized something and looked toward the campus:

"Bai Chen… is that you?"

In the principal's office, Bai Chen meticulously reviewed the Endless Abyss data.

Through the school's highest authority, her black-hole-like eye observed Chu Hao's world.

Her gaze was cold.

"Let's see… how these creatures fare when crushed by a mid-to-high dimensional army of devout believers.

Two different dimensions, two sets of governing rules, two contrasting environments… it's like observing both sides of a coin. Valuable data indeed.

Chu Hao… do not disappoint me."
