Chapter 220 - Sitting on a throne didn’t necessarily make someone a king admired by all.

Wanda would never have imagined that Xu Dan had rushed away in such a hurry… just to catch up with making a game.

That's right—leaving the crisis in the underwater city behind and heading straight to the surface company to work on a game.

The convergence of the Nine Realms was an enormous opportunity for Xu Dan. While the Dark Elves were thinking about how to dominate the Nine Realms and claim the supreme throne, Xu Dan had absolutely no interest in any throne.

Sitting on a throne didn't necessarily make someone a king admired by all.

But quietly becoming the undisputed master behind the entire world—that was truly impressive.

And Xu Dan intended to accomplish this through virtual games, spreading them across the entire Nine Realms.

Previously, after crossing the Rainbow Bridge in Asgard, he had already introduced his virtual game system to the "Fairy Palace." The player base there couldn't compare with the scale of Warcraft on Earth, but that was simply because Asgard's total population was small.

After all, a single Asgardian battleship could carry a large portion of their people. Compared to Earth, their numbers were tiny.

Even so, the player participation rate there was surprisingly high. In short, the virtual game had already proven successful in Asgard.

However, cross-realm communication still required the Rainbow Bridge—which meant relying on Asgard.

Xu Dan hated relying on others.

If Earth could someday conquer Asgard, then the Rainbow Bridge wouldn't matter anymore. But realistically, humanity wasn't at that stage yet.

So Xu Dan later conceived a new idea.

He would use the power of the Cosmic Cube—the Space Stone—to transmit signals through space itself.

In other words, he wanted to open communication channels across the entire universe.

It was a grand vision… but extremely difficult to implement. Even though he already possessed the Cosmic Cube, it would take a long time to achieve that goal.

For now, he would narrow the scope to just the Nine Realms.

And the current convergence of the Nine Realms was a perfect opportunity sent by fate.

To seize that opportunity, Xu Dan rushed to the Antarctic Military Industry laboratory, where the Cosmic Cube was stored.

Normally, Dr. Erik Selvig guarded the lab day and night. But today he had gone out to study astronomical phenomena related to the cosmic convergence, leaving the facility empty.

Xu Dan stepped forward.

He placed a spell on his arm—one designed specifically to control the power of the Space Stone—and then touched the dangerous surface of the Cosmic Cube.

The Cosmic Cube was unquestionably dangerous.

Once, Red Skull had attempted to harness its power, only to be overwhelmed by its unmatched energy and banished to another world.

Yet the danger wasn't absolute.

Nick Fury had also held the Cosmic Cube with both hands—and nothing had happened.

The risk was uncertain.

But Xu Dan had no intention of gambling with his life to find out.

That was why he used a spell.

The moment his right hand—covered in a glowing blue rune—touched the Cosmic Cube, a torrent of energy surged into his body through his palm.

His eyes instantly turned crystal blue, like flawless sapphires.

Fortunately, the spell taught by Ancient One proved extremely effective. The Cosmic Cube's power was violent and overwhelming—it caused Xu Dan intense pain—but it didn't attempt to destroy him.

That pain was likely the price of forcing the Infinity Stone's power to obey.

Using an Infinity Stone without a proper medium was always dangerous.

Thankfully, Xu Dan endured it.

Within seconds, he adapted to the pain.

And then something incredible happened.

Filled with the power of the Space Stone, he felt as if he had merged with space itself.

He could sense space.

He could touch space.

And his eyes could even perceive the countless overlapping layers of the Nine Realms.

Those layers of space appeared both infinitely distant and incredibly close—like a vast network stretching beyond imagination.

It felt as though he could reach out and manipulate the intersections of worlds with a single gesture.

This was the true power of the Space Stone.

It was far more than the simple teleportation ability that Thanos used like a Flying Thunder God technique. Its potential was limitless.

An Infinity Stone was never simple.

The first thing Xu Dan decided to do was use the Space Stone's power to eliminate the chaotic spatial intersections scattered throughout the Nine Realms.

The convergence of the Nine Realms wasn't like nine spheres merging together.

It was the overlapping of countless spatial coordinates.

One intersection might appear on Mount Everest.

The next might appear in a restaurant.

Or even in someone's bathroom.

There were no rules. No order.

That was exactly why Xu Dan needed to reorganize everything.

With a single thought, the Space Stone's power spread outward.

Those chaotic spatial intersections looked like mistakes on a digital drawing board—mistakes that were gently erased by an invisible eraser.

There was no resistance.

The spaces of the Nine Realms were merely disordered.

But the Space Stone was a cosmic-level treasure.

As the chaos disappeared, space returned to its natural state as if nothing had ever happened.

Far beneath the ocean, in the southwest passage of the underwater city, the automatic drainage system continued working.

Suddenly, the seawater that had stubbornly filled the pipeline began to vanish.

Within seconds, the entire passage was cleared. Seawater, debris—everything was removed. The system even completed an automatic sterilization cycle.

Less than a minute later, the green indicator light switched on.

The pipeline was fully operational again.

To Xu Dan—now connected to the Space Stone—this was merely a trivial matter.

What he wanted was simple.

Among the Nine Realms, each world only needed one single intersection point.

Just one bridge.

Just one gateway.

And the location of that gateway would be known only to him.

Every other chaotic intersection across the Nine Realms was erased within minutes by the "cosmic eraser."

By that point, the natural convergence that was supposed to occur according to celestial cycles had been completely altered by Xu Dan.

And then… permanently fixed.

From now on, the Nine Realms would resemble nine circles drawn on a board—connected by only a single point.

They would no longer follow the ancient cycle that repeated every ten thousand years.

Instead, the system would remain permanently locked in place.

Such a monumental act was nothing less than the work of a godlike creator.
