Kingpin had given Bullseye a clear order — bring Xu Dan back alive.
Kingpin didn't just want to take over Xu Dan's company; he wanted to meet this mysterious man face-to-face.
Following instructions, Bullseye waited on his motorcycle along Xu Dan's usual route to work, just before dawn.
Every morning, Xu Dan drove from his villa to the company. It usually took him only a little over ten minutes — longer if there was traffic.
Not that it mattered. He was the boss; no one would dare question his timing.
From a distance, Bullseye spotted the sleek sports car and grinned — a wild, twisted smile that only someone with a few screws loose could manage.He gunned the throttle, sending his motorcycle roaring the wrong way down the highway — straight toward Xu Dan's car.
The sports car sped forward like lightning — but so did Bullseye's bike.
And his hands were even faster.
In mid-ride, he reached down to his belt — not an ordinary one, but a custom design. The buckle itself could be detached and used as a throwing weapon.
To Bullseye, even a toothpick could become a lethal projectile.
This custom-made dart, then, was more than deadly.
By his calculations — the car's speed, his own momentum, the perfect throwing force — the dart would pierce the windshield and strike Xu Dan squarely in the shoulder.The impact might cause the car to flip, but its safety systems would keep Xu Dan alive — exactly as Kingpin had ordered.
To most people, hitting a driver inside a speeding car would be impossible — hitting the driver's shoulder was unthinkable.
But Bullseye wasn't most people.
His accuracy was beyond human.If he said he'd hit the right eye, he would never hit the left.
"Whizz—whizz!"
The darts sliced through the air toward the oncoming car.
Inside the sports car, Xu Dan had already noticed the motorcycle barreling toward him against traffic.
Seriously — who the hell rode a motorcycle like that on a highway?
Even an idiot could tell this wasn't some reckless driver — it was an assassination attempt.
The fourth one, to be exact.
Thanks to the system's enhancements, Xu Dan's mind and reflexes were far beyond normal. Even at over 300 km/h, he perceived the world around him in slow motion.
Everything seemed to move sluggishly — giving him more than enough time to react.
When he saw the motorcyclist make that sharp hand motion, he instantly realized what was coming.
An attack.
He twisted the steering wheel sharply, swerving across lanes in a burst of screeching tires.
To Bullseye's disbelief, the sports car seemed to slide sideways through the air — like it had teleported.
His deadly dart — missed.
Bullseye prided himself on perfection — never missing a shot.For him, failure wasn't just a mistake. It was an insult.
And that insult drove him mad.
He could accept anything — except a miss.
Even an idiot could toss a brick at a speeding car and hit something.
But he, Bullseye — master marksman of the world — had missed completely!Not only had he failed to hit the target, he hadn't even hit the damn car!
Xu Dan had dodged him — with the entire vehicle!
To anyone else, it might not seem like much.But to Bullseye, it was a direct slap in the face.
"AHHHH!!" he roared in fury.
Without a shred of hesitation for his own safety, he twisted the throttle, sending the motorcycle surging forward at deadly speed.
He was riding straight into the path of Xu Dan's oncoming car.
At that velocity, a collision would be catastrophic — Xu Dan's car might flip, but Bullseye would be reduced to a smear of flesh and metal.
And yet, he accelerated.
As the two vehicles closed in — 100 meters… 50… 10…
Bullseye reached for his belt again, drawing another silver dart.
This time, he would throw at point-blank range.
In just a few seconds, the distance between them vanished.
At the very last instant, Bullseye jerked the handlebars, veering his bike alongside Xu Dan's car.
Now they were side by side, his window perfectly aligned with Xu Dan's seat.
It was the perfect shot.
For a moment, time itself seemed to freeze.
At this distance — barely a meter apart — even a mediocre thrower couldn't miss.
For Bullseye, missing would be unforgivable — a disgrace worse than death.
He raised his arm to strike —
And in that split second, he caught a glimpse of Xu Dan turning his head slightly…with a mocking smile on his face.
That expression seared itself into Bullseye's mind.
"Damn you!!" he snarled internally.
Then —
VROOOM!
The sports car's engine thundered like a jet turbine, and the vehicle exploded forward in a burst of raw power, taillights blazing like comets.
Bullseye's dart — missed again.
The humiliation hit him harder than a bullet.
Xu Dan wasn't just dodging — he was toying with him.
Like a cat toying with a mouse — letting it struggle before the kill.
First, Xu Dan had avoided his dart by sheer driving skill.Now, he'd humiliated him again with pure speed.
Before Bullseye could even process the rage, a violent gust from the car's wake smashed into his face, knocking the air out of his lungs.
For a brief, terrifying second, he couldn't breathe — if another car had been behind him, he'd be roadkill.
Gasping, he slowed the motorcycle, drifting sideways to regain control.
When he looked up again — Xu Dan was gone.Not even the license plate was in sight.
"Damn it! Damn it! DAMN IT!!"
"Xu Dan! I'll remember you! You humiliated me — I'll make you pay for it!!"
Roaring in rage, Bullseye sped off after the vanished sports car, swearing to himself that until he repaid this humiliation, he wouldn't stop.
Kingpin's orders?Those could wait.
Right now, there was only one thing on Bullseye's mind — revenge.
