Chapter 28 - Armoured In Faith...

Returning home with the Blu-Ray disc, Shirou winced as he rubbed his chest, unable to understand why his chest hurt so much. The red spike that seemed to have pierced seemed to be all just a hallucination, just like a certain bigfoot he swore to have seen a couple of days ago.

Damn, am I spending too many days learning magic? Must take a couple of days to stave off this madness...

As he entered his house, he returned to a puppy called Ilya, kneeling on the ground with her paws(?) up, eager to watch the latest season of Mahou Shoujo Krania. "Ne, ne, onii-chan, did you get it?"

Seeing her cute reaction, Shirou couldn't help but ruffle her hair, seeing her act all cutesy and all. "Yes, I got it. So, am I forgiven...?"

Unable to withstand her pestering, Shirou risked his life (read – future career) by breaking into the school, trying to retrieve what he had forgotten. "You know, I thought I nearly died. I could've sworn I was pierced through my chest by what felt like a red spear, but when I woke up, there was nothing. That pedo in speedo and gyaru-oh must've been just my imagination..."

As he continued rambling, Shirou failed to notice the gloomy atmosphere emanating from the little 12-year-old, who grew increasingly darker with each passing second. It was only when he felt the cold air did he realise something. "Hey, did Leysritt forget to close the fridge again? Cause either way, if she steals another pudding, I don't think Sella would forgive her– Hey, is that a temporary tattoo in your hand? It looks pretty cool, but don't let Iri-san catch you, otherwise you-know-what will happen again..."

Blushing madly at being caught 'red-handed', Ilya couldn't help but blush.

Rubbing his head, Shirou realised that he was too out of touch with modern times. "Well, either way, as long as mom doesn't find out, you do you. Anyways, if you need me, I'll be out in the warehouse, tinkering with the broken little kettle Issei had given me. So, you got anything else to say...?"

Furiously shaking her head, Ilyabwatxhed as her beloved hus– brother limped into the backyard, tired after the whole fiasco at school. As he finally left her sight, she could not help but clench her tiny fists tightly...

Pissed beyond belief

Whoever attacked nii-san, I'll kill 'em all...

Right Berserker...?

From her side, a cold grunt sounded through, agreeing with his Master...

Plopping down onto the mat, Shirou couldn't help but get the urge to practice Reinforcement magic, the only magic he could do. Channeling through the limited magic he could gather, he tried his best reinforce the rolled-up newspaper in his hand, trying to make it as strong as a piece of log. Just as he was about to succeed, his concentration fell off, causing the newspaper to disintegrate into scraps.

"Who's there!?"

Turning hisbhead, Shirou searched for the intruder that had disturbed him, only to be met with nothing. Just as he was about to heave a sigh of relief, he heard some rustling coming from behind him...

Along with the ominous laughter

"Hee...hee...hee..."

Crack...

A deep crackling could be heard coming from the secluded alleyway, as strewn papers could be seen floating manically in the air. Right in the middle of the empty space, lightning could be seen radiating from the center, before a tall being, clad in grey armour, materialised, kneeling on the spot...

And gazed up with his deep, blue eyes
