"The truth, mostly." Max looks at me. "We'lltell them that, yes, Eric is human and that he is my mate and that we'll have a mating ceremony soon. That should keep them busy for a while."
"What if they ask about the extra secrecy and protection around Eric? Because it's not like theyhave been able to get a hold of him." Max's mum points out the window. "They're waiting for you,out there, behind the wall. The whole street is full of vans because you've been radio silent since the ball. They want details."
