Some of the wolves come greet me, their tails wagging and each of them waiting to get a goodsniff of me, others are staying away, probablymore reserved at seeing a human in their midst.
I feel like kneeling down to be more at theirheight, but the wolves are quite big and I don'tthink Max would appreciate me getting pushedover. Not even by people, or wolves, that he knows.
Max lets out a low growl when the other wolves crowd too closely and they all take steps back. I step closer to him and bury my hand in the fur around his shoulders. He is so big and furryand fluffy. When he changed... it looked really weird and kinda scary, but now that he is like this... it's interesting.
Around us wolves are starting to play fight together, pushing at each other, rolling all overthe place. I feel Max's muscles tense under myhand.
