Chapter 2: The beginning of hell
She couldn't concentrate during the whole shoot. He's not the same naive boy she knew, his eyes were cold, no emotions. She has no control over him now, she's no longer the boss and she hates the feeling.
Marriage? To the guy she played?. He left college after she dumped him publicly and returned into her life bigger and better. He must want to pay her back, gosh how am I supposed to handle this? She thought.
( A week later)
After contemplating, Alex made a tough decision. She's standing in front of kings Tech, at the early hours of the morning, It's still 5 am.
What do you mean I can't go into the company? She asked the security personnel. Boss ordered not to let you in if you visit again, he told her. The same boss that allowed me wait in his office? Doesn't want me inside his company? She replied. I'm just following orders ma'am. You can wait for him here or visit his home, he won't be here until 6, he said.
She called her mom who sent her Jason's address. Luckily his villa is 20 minutes drive from the company. She pushed the bell button as soon as she got there and the doors opened, she rushed in only to meet him eating.
Fine let's get married, I just need you to invest in the company, Alex said but he continued eating. She walked up to him, and made the mistake of touching him cause he grabbed her hands while holding her neck and pushed her roughly to the wall. Their face almost touching, don't you dare touch me. Didn't you finish reading the contract? Alex couldn't say anything, this new attitude of his gives her the chills.
He left her and went back to his seat to finish his meal. Jason, can this marriage please be a secret? She asked her voice unusually calm. He smirked, he saw fear in her eyes and that gave him a bit satisfaction. I thought you like publicity Alex? He smiled. Please Jason, I just need things to get back first before letting the public know. I will round up the paperwork today, I prepared everything needed already and our wedding is in two days he said ignoring her request.
( Sky garden)
Alex dressed in a white short gown with a bouquet of flowers. Looking effortlessly beautiful but her expression was dull. Of course she's not happy with the whole marriage thing but she has no choice. She looked at the left side of the garden to see her parents. Her dad sweetly smiling at her. She recalled how much he thanked her and how the company is progressing. Her mom had this proud mother look on her face. And then her best friend and manager, Rose, Alex scoffed as she recalled what she said to her days back.
" karma is really being hard on you girl, this is his world now, his rules, you have no power over him unless...you make him fall for you".
Fall for me? I don't see that happening. Alex thought. On the right, Jason's parents sat with Clare, Jason's sister. Jason stood in front of the altar, dress in a black tuxedo. His hair partly covered his eye, he was deadly handsome. After they said their vows and exchanged rings. It was finally time to kiss, that part wouldn't have happened if the parents weren't there but they had to convince them it's not just a show. Jason kissed her roughly leaving her with a bruise on the lips. This wasn't their first kiss but also nothing like the first kiss. This kiss was cold, no emotions, it was like a punishment kiss. Alex felt butterflies in her belly, the kiss might be harsh but she liked the feeling. She was reminded of their first kiss during college days, the way he slowly took in her lips and how hungrily he devoured it, she didn't even respond to the kiss and she kind of regrets it now. She doubts if she can experience that soft side of him again.
The internet was on fire, the wedding of the wealthiest man in the city. He was every ladies dream guy, and his fans weren't going easy on our Alex. " she probably seduced him with her body" " bitch might have sold herself to keep her father's company running" " she's probably using him" " she stole our king from us, fuck you Alex" " she gets all she wants in a platter of gold, I envy her". More and more hate comments came in.
Alex sighed as she read those comments, making the marriage known was not a good idea. It's their first day as couple and Jason went to work. No honeymoon... She would be dreaming if she expects anything romantic from him. They sleep in different rooms and that's enough sign that she meant nothing to him.
The house was big and empty, the cleaners and the cook just come, do their job and leave. She would have called Rose but that little witch is probably having fun with her man. She gave her a week off since she cleared her schedule for the week.
She sighed as she went to Jason's IG but there's nothing there, only his profile picture. But he has crazy amount of followers mostly girls dying to get his attention.
She remembered how she searched for him after he left college overnight but he doesn't even have any friends neither does she know anything about him outside school, so no way to reach him. She called but it wasn't even connecting and back then he wasn't in any social media, which made it worse for her. He disappeared as if he never existed but she stopped caring after a while, maybe he just couldn't take the embarrassment. That was how she satisfied her guilt.
But now, she has to make up for what she did, making him fall for her again might lessen her punishment. She knew trying to fight back will be a loosing game for her.
