You don't love me again, all I asked is an ice cream but you don't want to get it for me, Alex cried. Babe, it's only 2 am in the morning, no ice cream shop is opened at this hour of the day. I will get you all the Ice cream you want in the morning so please baby...
Jason was relieved when he felt her sleeping. This has been his ordeal, Alex is 4 months pregnant now. It happened during their honeymoon. Oops, I forgot to tell you guys that they remarried, the second wedding was the talk of the town. It was a perfect wedding, the one Alex always dreamed of, family, friends and biggest men in the city were present. They went to Paris for their honeymoon, they stayed a month there and that was when she got pregnant. They went on dates, Alex quit modelling and is now a director in her father's company. She was good at what she does, she's not only pretty but also intelligent. Though she works from home because Jason wouldn't want to stress her and the baby. He even went as far as redecorating the room downstairs to their room so she wouldn't have to climb stairs. What a caring husband. Alex was thankful to God for giving her the best and perfect man. She has never been loved like this, he makes life soft for her and she loves him with everything in her.
Clare is coming to stay with them tomorrow, she's done with college but not ready to join the family business. So she decided to spend time with her sister in law.
You have a boyfriend, Clare! Alex said. Shush, I don't want brother to know. He's against me dating anybody now so it's a secret. I'm 20 and yet he treats me like a baby. He once beat up my boyfriend when I was 18 and that was on our first date I couldn't be more embarrassed, Clare said with a sad face. Don't hate your brother Clare, I'm sure he is doing this for your own good. He doesn't want you to be played and know that he truly loves and cares for you, Alex assured her. I know sis, that is why I'm being careful. I will introduce you to him so you know he's not someone to play with my feelings.
They joked, laughed, talked about random things.
Clare has been a great company to Alex. Jason on the other hand has been making himself available for her, he gets off early from work. He follows her to the hospital for her check ups. Her mother together with Jason's mother visits during weekends, they can't wait for their grandchild to come into the world. Rose works in her husband's company, she got married last month and pays Alex visit whenever she has the chance.
Alex's life was filled with love from people around her. She lacked nothing, she wasn't stressed until she gave birth to JKJ (Jason King junior). That was the happiest day of her life, she promised to be the best mother to her child and the best wife to her husband.
( Two years later)
Alex drove down to Jason's company while playing "power of love" by Celine Dion. She believes love conquers all. She got down as she got to the company. Everyone greeted her with smiles on their faces, they all love her because of how friendly she became, she even treats them to lunch sometimes. Mrs. Kings you look pretty " some complimented her. She wore a white flawless gown, it wasn't tight but wasn't too loose either. Her makeup was light, she entered the elevator to Jason's office and knocked gently as she got there. Come in, Jason's voice came.
Sweetheart, you are here?. Jason asked , he obviously wasn't expecting her. Well, we have somewhere to go tonight baby, Alex said. You could have called me so I can be prepared, he said. I brought your suit so you can change so you have nothing to worry about and I made a reservation already.
After an hour, Jason already changed into the red suit Alex got him, Alex style his hair for him and they left.
This is the first time you are doing all these, Alex, is something wrong? Jason asked in a worried tone. No baby, nothing is wrong. I know you would forget it's our anniversary today but I have forgiven you because I have some good news but we have to eat first, I'm starving Alex said.
When they were done eating, Alex went over to Jason and asked him for a dance. Sweetheart we just finished eating, let's give it a rest, Jason said trying to reject the dance but Alex wasn't interested in what he was saying as she dragged him to the dance floor. You look pretty this evening, Jason whispered to Alex. Thank you, she said blushing hard. Happy two years to us and I'm sorry I forgot, my schedule has been tight, Jason said. It's fine baby, I have some news to share anyway, Alex said her face glowing, it must be some good news.
But before I say what it is, I want to thank you Jason for coming into my life again and making everything perfect for me, thank you for helping our company get back to it's feet and thank you for arresting that thief that stole from us, thank you for being my husband and a father to little JK, I love you so much, Jason.
No Alex, I should be thanking you for being part of me and giving me all the love and care in the world, thank you for being the best thing that happened to me in this life and you should know that I love you more, he said hugging her. So tell me, what news do you have for me, Jason asked. We are having another little one, Alex announced like the happiest person on earth. Jason immediately carried her up and kissed her like his life depends on it, congratulations to us, sweetie, he said. He was more than happy to be with this woman, who he couldn't love less, he knew he made the right decision when he forgave her of her past mistakes and ever since then she has been good if not the best wife on earth.
At the end of the day, love conquered hate. The game of who rules turned into a fierce competition leading to live moments of unity and new beginnings, hearts intertwining into love for a brighter future.
