Leo nodded in satisfaction. His attribute panel finally looked impressive — no longer just a few scattered skills.
"Heh, not bad, not bad," he murmured, stroking his chin.
"Let's go out and test these powers."
Having just fused new abilities, Leo couldn't wait to stretch his legs. He grinned. "How about... the great western desert? Cowboys, sand, explosions — sounds fun!"
A red mist enveloped him — and he vanished.
The next instant, Leo appeared in midair, space folding and warping around him.
"Hmm? So, this teleportation uses a dimensional fold as a transfer point," he muttered, impressed by the sensation.
When he stepped out of the dimensional rift — splat! — he landed directly in the vast desert.
Perfect timing.
"A single plume of smoke in the vast desert, and the long river beneath the round setting sun," he recited with a smile.
The sunset before him was magnificent — the golden-red glow blanketing the endless dunes.
The clouds above were painted in brilliant orange hues, and the once-harsh desert now shimmered softly beneath the fading light.
The sight stirred something deep within him — a wild, unrestrained spirit. Leo threw his head back and roared to the heavens.
"Ahhhhhh!"
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Then — explosions?!
"What the hell—?" Leo blinked. "Did I just perfect my Lion's Roar or something?"
But the truth was simpler — and louder. The explosions weren't from him at all.
He looked up and saw several armed helicopters streaking across the sky, machine guns blazing. Rockets flew, missiles howled.
And below them — a massive green figure was dodging, weaving, and roaring in fury.
"Huh?! Isn't that the Hulk?" Leo's eyes widened. "The desert fight scene! Just like in The Incredible Hulk!"
The Hulk leapt, twisted, and zigzagged through the gunfire like a green gymnast on steroids. Tanks rolled in, helicopters hovered overhead, but none could touch him.
Then —
"ROOOOAR!"
The Hulk jumped onto a tank, grabbed the cannon barrel, and started spinning it like a toy.
"Holy shit!" Leo laughed. "The man's doing discus throw!"
Whoosh—Boom!!
The tank flew into the air and collided with a helicopter. A massive explosion lit up the twilight sky — fire and metal raining down like fireworks.
Beautiful... in a very Syrian way, Leo thought, smirking.
Meanwhile, the soldiers went berserk. Bullets poured down like rain, but they might as well have been pebbles.
Even the rockets didn't help — Hulk sidestepped effortlessly, snatched one midair, and flung it back.
Boom!
Another helicopter down.
"F**K! F**K!"
Inside one of the choppers, General Ross slammed his fist against the console.
"Useless idiots! You can't even catch one goddamn Hulk!"
His eyes were bloodshot, veins bulging. To him, soldiers were disposable — capturing Hulk was all that mattered.
If this mission failed, his career would tank harder than the chopper outside.
Then —
"Wait, General! Look!" shouted his aide. "Someone's engaging the Hulk!"
Ross's head snapped up. "What?!"
He rushed to the window, peering through his binoculars — and sure enough, there was a figure on the sand.
Leo.
Ross's lips curled into a grin. "Heh... interesting. Let's watch for a bit. No need to interfere just yet."
Meanwhile, Leo stood there calmly, watching the live-action chaos unfold.
But then, fate decided to mess with him.
Because out of nowhere —
BOOM!
The Hulk came crashing down from the sky, landing right in front of him and kicking up a massive sandstorm.
"Holy sh*t! A man sits on the sand, and a fatty falls from heaven?!" Leo yelped, jumping back.
Hulk's eyes glowed with fury as he roared.
"RRRRAAAHHHH!"
Then he charged straight at Leo, his massive fists slamming into the ground.
Leo blinked once, then smirked.
"Well damn... this big guy isn't just a walking green pot — he's a perfect punching bag."
His eyes lit up with excitement. "Let's see how durable you really are."
