Kermit's POV
When I returned to Capital City and saw the loads of devastation, it only fueled the rage burning within me. Everywhere I looked, destruction marked the aftermath of my time in Bradley's captivity.
Bodies of my loyal followers lay buried beneath fresh earth. Buildings that had stood for generations now existed as hollow shells. Alliances that had taken time to forge had crumbled in a short period. The entire foundation of my world had been systematically dismantled.
My remaining men delivered their reports with heavy voices. The violence had ceased for some time now, they explained. The lower Alphas had withdrawn their forces and fallen silent. But their silence carried an ominous weight that made my skin crawl.
Something darker was brewing beneath the surface. I could feel it in my bones, taste it in the air. Whatever came next would shake the very core of everything I had built.

"Stop. That's more than enough," I told the makeup artist.
