Something was fundamentally wrong with me.
Every sensation felt amplified beyond reason. My emotions crashed through me like violent waves. My thoughts raced at breakneck speed. And this consuming need for Tonia Alexa threatened to drive me completely insane.
I had awakened with the most bizarre craving for her presence. The desperate need to see her face felt like a physical ache, as if my sanity would shatter without her nearness.
That was why I found myself at her bedroom door this morning, making excuses to check on her wellbeing.
After our heated argument yesterday, concentration at the office became impossible. I ended up leaving early to collect her from AMC. She had no idea I spent three grueling hours sitting in my car outside the hospital, fighting the overwhelming urge to storm inside while she was still on duty.
