Kermit's POV
She sent me the address and I arrived within minutes.
When she opened the door, every rational thought fled my mind for a heartbeat.
The silk nightgown she wore barely covered her thighs, revealing those curves that had haunted my dreams for weeks. A matching robe hung loosely over her shoulders, doing nothing to conceal the tantalizing glimpse of her cleavage.
Her dark hair cascaded over her bare shoulders, and without makeup, she looked vulnerable yet breathtaking.
The simple champagne-colored fabric should have been modest, but on her body, it was pure temptation.
Then I noticed her face properly. Her eyes were swollen and red-rimmed, pulling me back to reality with brutal force.
"You've been crying."
She shook her head, tucking a strand behind her ear in a gesture I knew meant she was lying.
I stepped into her modest apartment without invitation.
"You shouldn't have come," she whispered.
"Where else would I be?"
"With your future Grand Luna, perhaps?"
