Ever since the incident that haped and the murder of Edward,Ven had been occupied with the mode of executing his revenge. He's just trying to find out how he would be able to achieve that.
He understood that Davis and Victory may have been blinded by greed, and the reason behind killing the former Chairman, but he could not really decode why Kelvin had to be killed to the extent of trailing him to the town he ran to and still made sure he was eliminated.
After series of investigation,he discovered that Davis and Victory are not only brothers but also accomplices in various nefarious acts in Kandon and their influence cut across all levels of powers and authorities.
He almost died the day Edward was murdered,if not that he was able to spot the bullet before it could hit him making it easy for him to dodge it. The shooter with the thinking that he had accomplished his mission and the last person was already dead,left the scene.
To say that he was shocked would be an understatement concerning Edward confession and his attempted murder then made everything clear to him.
If Edward was lying or was only trying to implicate some set of people,then they would be no need for his death. Killing of Edward itself, is a mode of attesting to his confession.
Ven felt dejected and wasted remembering that he's alone with nobody to help him on his mission. He could not even tell Alex as he observed that Alex was kind of distant and hardly speak with him this days. They only greet each other unlike before when they have lengthy discussion. He leaves the house early and returns late at night which is unlike him.
Now that he's getting ready for the real revenge he has been yearning for, he needs someone to help him with that. Since he has identified the ones behind Kelvin's death, and since they're not ordinary people, the best way to do that will be through staining their names.
Daniella will be the best for the job and she's really good at digging out dirts especially the influential people as it is part of her work.
He messaged her and luckily for him,she was online and they agreed to meet at a nearby restaurant to discuss what he planned to discuss with her, since he believes it should be a physical meeting.
" I believe you will be able to say what you want to say now that we've met," Daniella said while sipping from her glass of wine in front of her.
" Why do you think that I called you for a serious matter, what if it's only to merry?" Ven asked teasingly.
" The Ven that I know does not have time for all that. You have been living a serious life from when I have known you."
" So what do you really want to say or should I say are you ready to tell me what is going on? I know all those information you asked me to find then was for something personal. I'm ready to listen to everything today, you don't know I might be of help," Daniella said while Ven was startled.
It was as if Daniella was reading his mind with what she said. That's the reason he called her and he had not even discuss it with her.
" You are right,those information you helped me gather was for a personal mission. I was trying to figure out the person behind my father's death who I later learnt to be my adopted father. Thanks to that information on Edward, I learnt about my father and the person behind his death." Ven disclosed while trying to fight back the tears that were struggling to drop from his eyes. He still had not gotten over his death and don't think he will.
" You mean your Father worked for Brown Empire? That is the link between him and Edward." Daniella asked impatiently.
" Exactly, and that is why I started the investigation from searching for someone who he worked with." Ven answered,he already knows that she would ask a lot of questions especially since it was something new to her.
" I don't really know what to say. Where is Edward that you planned to meet to inquire about somethings from?" She asked curiously.
" He was also killed some weeks ago and he didn't reveal to me the person behind it till his death,Ven lied.
He knows that the moment he reveals the person behind it, she will be in danger. The best he can actually do is to keep it for now and reveal it at the right time.
" That means meeting him was a wasted effort since you were unable to get answers to your questions." She said conclusively, while he nodded in affirmation.
" I actually need your help with something," Ven said at last.
He was skeptical about requesting for her help. Not really because he does not trust her, but he's afraid of inviting her to join him in the suicide mission he has embarked on.
" With what really?" She asked smiling,she could observe that he was reluctant to spill it.
" I need someone to assist me with this mission especially someone that will be able to do the kind of work you know how to do best," he said.
" I will be more than happy to do that," she said,while Ven was baffled at her statement.
" I don't think you know what this entails. It is like sacrificing your life to a stranger because he's nice. That's the definition of the mission you wish to assist me with," Ven tried explaining.
" I know that this mission is dangerous. I wish to help you and that's all,who knows I might be helping myself," she said still flashing her smile to Ven.
Their discussion was interrupted by a call. Ven picked the call since it was a strange number, but was surprised at the caller's name when he tried identifying himself....
