# Chapter 157: Aftermath of Accel Synchro
All the flower petals fiercely burned, instantly clearing the entire Field.
At this moment, the somewhat stunned audience finally reacted, bursting into enthusiastic cheers.
"Oh my god!" the Female Commentator exclaimed, "I never expected the strategy that had been lost to history — Accel Synchro — would reappear in the hands of this unknown participant. The Friendship Cup truly is a place where miracles happen."
"Now, it's Shinji Weber's turn to be in a tight spot!" the Female Commentator said. "All of his cards were cleared by Bruno before the End Phase, and his hand is currently at 0! This means he will enter his turn with an empty field!"
At this moment, with both players' fields completely empty, Bruno drove his D-Wheel beside Shinji Weber.
After a moment of silence, Shinji Weber smiled with relief. "I see, so you've finally reached this point. No wonder Kiryu sent you to this tournament."
"I'll End Turn like this," Shinji Weber said, pressing the End Turn button on his Duel Disk, ending his turn with an empty field.
"My Turn! Draw Card!" Bruno calmly drew a card. Now, he just needed to Summon a monster with attack points higher than 2100 to clear Shinji Weber's life points.
"Attack Position Summon, *T.G. Propeller Dragon*!"
"*T.G. Propeller Dragon*'s effect activates! When this card is successfully Summoned, I can Special Summon one T.G. Monster with Level 4 or lower from my Graveyard! Appear! *T.G. Drill Raptor*!"
"I'll Tune the Level 1 *T.G. Drill Raptor* with the Level 4 *T.G. Propeller Dragon*!"
[4+1=5]
"Limiter Removal, Level 5! Open Regulator! Thruster Warm-up, OK! Uplink, all clear! GO! Synchro Summon! COME ON! *T.G. Hyper Librarian*!"
*T.G. Hyper Librarian* Attack Points: 2400
"It's Battle!" Bruno gestured, entering the Battle Phase.
"*T.G. Hyper Librarian* Direct Attack!"
As Bruno gave the command, the Librarian beside him extended its hand, firing a laser beam towards Shinji Weber.
Shinji Weber accepted his defeat, calmly watching the incoming attack. He even ignored an Action Card within reach by his D-Wheel.
Shinji Weber Life Points: 2100 → 0
The victory slogan and Bruno's full-body holographic projection appeared in the center of the Stadium.
But Bruno paid no mind to the audience's cheers, instead walking directly to Shinji Weber, who had stopped his D-Wheel.
"I'm sorry for making you reveal Accel Synchro early," Shinji Weber said, cutting Bruno off just as Bruno was about to speak.
"No, there's nothing to be sorry about," Bruno shook his head. "I understand you don't trust me. After all, I made you wait too long back then."
"But this time, I will carry the hopes of my companions and ascend to the top of this City," Bruno said.
"Then take my share," Shinji Weber said, taking a card from his Deck and handing it to Bruno. "Hope it helps you."
Bruno took the card and looked at it.
[*Battlewasp - Arbalest for the Vanquishing Arrow*]
A Level 8 Synchro Monster. When another Synchro Monster is used as its Material, it gains the ability to attack twice. It's a very powerful game-ending monster.
"Good," Bruno nodded and put away the card. But just as he was about to say something else, the Security surrounded them, intending to take Shinji Weber away.
Shinji Weber did not resist. After a cold laugh, he followed them towards the Underground Labor Facility.
It was then that Bruno felt a strange feeling; it seemed someone was staring at his back.
Bruno turned around and saw Jack Atlas standing up on the Throne not far away, staring at him without concealment.
Bruno showed no fear, returning the gaze of this King born from the commoner class, his eyes filled with fighting intent.
Their gaze met until the Female Commentator urged Bruno to make way for the next participant to appear.
As Bruno slowly drove his D-Wheel into the Competitor Channel, Jack finally sat back on the Throne.
"Accel Synchro..." Jack muttered from the Throne. "So, Kiryu, you're putting your Hope on this junior?"
...
Inside the Meeting Room of the tower in The Tops, the five most powerful individuals in Neo Domino City repeatedly rewatched the footage of Bruno's Accel Synchro competition.
Just then, the doors to the main hall slowly opened, and Reiji Akaba slowly walked in.
"May I ask why you called me here?" Reiji Akaba asked.
"Don't you have an explanation? The slot this young man used to participate was given by you," one of the Five Elders said, looking down at Reiji Akaba.
"That's right, is there a problem? I found that kid in Neo Domino City's Commoner District. I saw he had great talent, so I invited him," Reiji Akaba said with a smile.
"That's no ordinary person; he is an Inheritor of Accel Synchro!" another of the Five Elders said.
"I see, so this method of Synchro Summoning on the opponent's turn is called Accel Synchro?" Reiji Akaba mused.
"Don't play dumb. Have you formed an alliance with the Revolutionary Army?" the Five Elders demanded.
"I don't understand what you're saying. What Revolutionary Army? Does that have anything to do with this?" Reiji Akaba pushed up his glasses and sneered, "Or are you hiding something from me?"
The atmosphere in the entire hall instantly became tense.
After a while, the person with the highest status, sitting in the center of the Five Elders, spoke: "If you don't know, then forget it. But, don't do anything unnecessary."
"I understand," Reiji Akaba said, then turned and left without looking back.
After Reiji Akaba exited the hall, the Five Elders sitting on the far right turned to look at the one in the very center.
"Is that all?"
"With Jack here, whatever he plans is meaningless," the central Five Elders said. "Besides, before the situation of the Dimensional War becomes clear, there's no need for us to antagonize the Standard Dimension."
"Precisely. If they think this kid, who only has a half-baked Accel Synchro, can challenge Jack, then let them try."
...
After Bruno left the Field, the participants of the third group soon made their appearance. Their names and holographic projections also appeared in the center of the Stadium.
Sawatari Shingo VS DC369
Yūga Hōzumi, preparing to depart with Kiryu inside the Revolutionary Army's Battalion, chuckled when he saw the participants.
"Isn't this guy one of the Security Officers who got beaten up by the three of them when they first arrived in this Dimension? His number looks like he's always getting involved in messes, so how did he get dragged into this mandatory competition?"
"And his opponent is Sylvio Sawatari? In that case, Sylvio Sawatari should finally be able to win a duel, right?"
