# Chapter 15: The Power That Came Too Late

Unsure of the opponent's current Deck, Yūga Hōzumi chose the all-purpose First Turn sacred artifact, Bounzer, for Field Presence.
"I Set a Card and End my Turn."
"Onomat? Is this your new Power?" Sugihara Yo said coldly. "But, this isn't enough! My Turn! Draw!"
"I Normal Summon Rescue Rabbit in Attack Position."
A cute little rabbit appeared on Sugihara Yo's Field, causing Yūga Hōzumi, who was still guessing his opponent's Deck, to twitch an eyelid.
Don't let this thing's harmless appearance fool you; its one-card Rank 4 Effect once dominated the entire meta.
Now, it just remained to be seen what this Rescue Rabbit could rescue.
"Rescue Rabbit's Effect Activates! By Banishing this card on the Field, I can Special Summon 2 Same-name Normal Monsters from my Deck that are Level 4 or lower. Monsters Special Summoned by this Effect are Destroyed during the End Phase."
Rescue Rabbit's small body flashed intensely, and two deep pits appeared on the ground, from which the Phantoms of two Monsters slowly rose.
"At this moment, Photon Bounzer's Effect Activates!"

A red glow flashed in Sugihara Yo's exposed right eye. He pointed his right finger to the sky, and a Jet-Black Vortex slowly condensed in the air. The evil energy occasionally leaking from the Vortex made one tremble with fear.
"I Overlay the two Level 4 Monsters on my Field."
The two Monsters transformed into two jet-black Orbs that flew one after another into the Jet-Black Vortex in the sky.
"King of the Evil Dragons from the Land of Demise! Descend now! Bring ultimate destruction to this despairing world!"
"Xyz Summon! Rank 4, Evilswarm Dragon King Bahamut!"
From within the Jet-Black Vortex in the sky, hoarse dragon's roars echoed. A jet-black Giant Dragon emerged, flapping its wings, landing in front of Sugihara Yo, and staring fixedly at Yūga Hōzumi with its scarlet eyes.

Yūga Hōzumi's brows furrowed as he looked at the Evil Dragon. It wasn't because he couldn't deal with this Monster, but because of the wisps of Evil Aura emanating from the Evil Dragon, which were currently surging towards Sugihara Yo behind it. Although Sugihara Yo's face showed no abnormality, the slight trembling of his left hand as he touched his Cards indicated that this feeling was not easy.
"That Monster of yours..." Yūga Hōzumi looked at Sugihara Yo, hesitating to speak.
"You noticed, huh?" A grim Smile stretched across Sugihara Yo's lips. "After Diamond Academy was completely wiped out, I gained this Power."
"Every time I Summon these Monsters, the price is my life force. But that doesn't matter at all, because everything important to me was lost that day. As Sugihara Yo spoke, he removed the mask from his left face, revealing a hideous left half. At this moment, black evil energy spread across the crisscrossing scars on his left face, converging into an arcane scarlet Rune in his left eye.
