Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: S-Class Ability, Peak Aura Power!

[First time receiving a Pokémon, received 1 lottery draw chance]

[Lottery entrance is as follows...]

Upon clicking the light spot, only two messages appeared in front of Ash: one was informing him of his lottery draw chance, and the other was giving him a lottery entrance.

Both prompts left Ash puzzled.

A lottery? What kind of lottery? Could there really be prizes in this chat group for him?

[Champion Ash: You should have seen that you have a lottery draw chance, right?]

[Ash: I saw it. It says here that I got a lottery chance for receiving a starter Pokémon. What kind of things do I draw in this lottery?]

[Champion Ash: You draw our abilities.]

[Ash: Your abilities?]

[Champion Ash: Yes, our abilities. This lottery includes everything except physical items, like my battle experience, Breeder Ash's nurturing experience, Tactical Master Ash's tactical thinking, and so on...]

Champion Ash's words gave Ash a shock. Even though he didn't have a practical concept of these things, just from the fact that he could acquire other people's knowledge made this lottery an incredibly defying thing.

[Champion Ash: Besides experience, the lottery also includes our abilities. Within us, there are many abilities, some developed in certain worlds, some not. Like Aura Ash, he developed almost his entire Aura Power, and he can challenge Legendary Beasts alone.]

[Ash: Uh... what are Legendary Beasts?]

[Champion Ash: ...What exactly do you usually learn? Do you know Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos?]

[Ash: I don't know.]

[Champion Ash: You're killing me.]

Ash's words left Champion Ash speechless. He had communicated with almost all the Ash in the group, but he had never seen an Ash start like this.

He didn't know anything basic, not even Pikachu, let alone what Legendary Beasts were, or even the local legendary Pokémon from Kanto like Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos.

This is beyond being a newbie!

[Ash the Aura Guardian: Just think of Legendary Beasts as Pokémon with the world's top-tier power.]

[Ash: Seriously...can humans really compete with Pokémon that have top-tier power?]

If it weren't for the fact that everyone in here was a version of himself, Ash would have suspected they were all messing with him.

Humans competing against top-tier Pokémon? Isn't this some kind of tall tale joke?

[Champion Ash: We have no need to lie to you here, anyway. Go ahead and try the lottery to see what you get first.]

[Champion Ash: The abilities in the chat group's lottery are graded from highest to lowest as S, A, B, C, D, E. The chance of drawing an S-grade ability is probably less than one in ten thousand. Among us in the group, the average number of lottery draws per person is at least in the hundreds, but only one or two have drawn an S-grade ability.]

Unlike newcomer Ash, the Ash in the group all joined fully developed. Upon joining, they can directly receive over fifty lottery draw chances.

But the things they draw are barely useful for them.

After all, in their own worlds and fields, they are all at the peak, and general abilities or experience are basically of no use to them.

[Ash: Is the probability really that low? By the way, who are the one or two people who drew an S-grade ability?]

[Breeder Ash: Unfortunately, it's me. But this darn chat group might as well have not let me draw it! What use is it for me as a breeder to draw all the battle experience of a Tactical Master? I laughed out loud when I got it!]

Thinking back on the situation made Breeder Ash angry. Such a hard-won S-grade, yet it had nothing to do with his field!

But to be honest, when Breeder Ash saw those tactical skills, he found them very novel and even tried battling Johto Champion Lance, which made Lance so annoyed that he said whoever loved battling Breeder Ash could go ahead. He didn't want to fight him anymore!

Experience is one thing; the skill also transferred Tactical Master Ash's meticulous insight, predictive abilities, and thinking patterns during battles, which is why this ability is S-grade.

If this ability were given to a Trainer with no battle skills, they'd instantly become a trainer with combat experience, insight, and abilities comparable to a top champion!

Unfortunately, this ability was given to a Breeder...

[Tactical Master Ash: Hey! What about my abilities now? You ask the champion; he can't even get my abilities if he wants to! You should be content with drawing my abilities!]

The difference between Champion Ash and Tactical Master Ash is that the former has strong raw power with Pokémon generally at high levels, while the latter triumphs using weaker forces with an endless array of dirty tactics.

When Champion Ash first communicated with Tactical Master Ash, he was astonished! How could such dirty tactics exist?

Not to mention anything else, there's the tactic of using Toxic, Toxic Spikes, and a tank Pokémon to grind down the opponent. Is that even a strategy a person can think of?

There are also things like Substituting Toxic and Serene Grace Chansey, etc.

Even Champion Ash wouldn't want to battle Tactical Master Ash; it's pure torture!

Whether he can win or not, the annoyance factor is maxed out.

[Champion Ash: Anyway, go ahead and try the lottery. The entrance should be in the notification area, just go in and draw.]

Hearing this, Ash set aside his desire to chat and opened the notification page, then entered through the lottery entrance.

When he opened the lottery entrance, a giant roulette wheel appeared in front of Ash.

There were six sections on it, corresponding to the six ability levels mentioned by Champion Ash.

The S-grade section was so small it was almost invisible, just like Champion Ash said, probably occupying less than one ten-thousandth of the space.

Thankfully, the wheel was large enough; otherwise, you'd need not just a magnifying glass, but a microscope to see it.

"No wonder the chance is only one in ten thousand; such a small section, is it really possible for anyone to hit it?" Ash muttered, already starting to spin the wheel with his mind.

The wheel spun dazzlingly before Ash, impossible to see where it was going, so Ash could only stop it randomly.

The roulette slowed down, gradually coming to a stop after a few seconds, with the tiny pointer slowly landing on the almost invisible section.

The section and the pointer's width nearly completely overlapped, finally coming to a steady stop.

Ash was stunned for a moment, then instinctively rubbed his eyes, but as an awareness form, he couldn't touch his eyes.

But this made him realize that it wasn't an illusion; the pointer had truly landed in the S-grade section.

Then in front of Ash, the roulette disappeared, replaced by a message box.

[Congratulations on drawing an S-grade ability: Aura Power. Your Aura Power has been developed to an S-grade state, and various ways to use Aura Power have been infused into your mind, available for self-study.]
