"Yeah, your daughter's a badass," Damien smirked.
"Tell us something we don't know," Sai said as he appeared, ruffling my hair.
I scowled, trying to fix it, but he just smiled and ruffled it again.
"As much as I'd love to sit here and chat, I need a shower and my bed," I admitted.
"Of course. Go rest, we'll be here until tomorrow," my dad said, hugging me quickly.
After saying my goodbyes, I hurried upstairs, desperate for a shower. Atlas stayed behind to check on my family.
It didn't take long before I was in my room, stripping off my dirty clothes and stepping into the shower. The warm water on my skin made me sigh. Today felt like it had gone on forever. I took my time washing my hair and scrubbing until my skin turned red.
When I finally came out, the smell of food made my stomach rumble. I dressed quickly and was surprised to see a full spread laid out. Atlas sat waiting, smiling.
