Chapter 427 - Chapter 395: Diana's Prison Break

Su Ming leaned the golden big egg against the tree trunk, taking a slight breather.

Now our side has three Engravers, while the other side only has one, which is a considerable advantage.

As for who the last person is, currently unknown, maybe it won't take long before they'll show up on their own.

But it's a bit odd that the Swamp Monster didn't appear when the Green of All Things needed it.

During the few hours he was in action, Luthor and his group, who knows what they've been up to.

He patted the surviving large tree beside him, which was thicker than any tree he'd ever seen. If it were hollowed out, it would be great to build a villa inside.

Just because others don't dare to live deep in the Amazon Forest doesn't mean Deathstroke doesn't dare.

Plus, this place is rarely visited, and people usually don't want to upset the Green of All Things, making it a good place.

Perhaps sensing his thoughts, these large trees reacted frantically through the ground, conveying their rejection.

They do not welcome animals living alongside them.

"Deathstroke, what should we do next?"

Donna glanced at the golden big egg nearby. She also knew the Godslayer, aware it was a weapon capable of transformation. It was kept contracting, as if trying to turn Black Orchid into a chocolate ball.

"Wait a while, until Black Orchid passes out, then we'll put her in a safe place to preserve her. After that, I'll retrieve the weapon, and wait for the fifth person to appear."

Albella slid down along the big tree on one side, clapped her hands, and lit a cigarette.

"I think the fifth person might not show up. We may have to deal with Hecate's true form, her three-headed and six-armed form."

"Even better, find a way to solve her once and for all." Su Ming also removed his helmet to smoke, casually giving the giant egg a roll.

"But have you thought about what would happen to the world's magic if you could actually kill her? If witchcraft vanishes, many warlocks would become ordinary people permanently."

Donna frowned, knowing slightly more than other second-line heroes thanks to her sister Diana.

Like the countdown to the world's survival, like transcendence and destruction.

"Isn't there the Inverted Man? Although he's somewhat dark, magic inherently comes with a cost, and he's not wrong about that."

Su Ming brought up the creature covered in white scales.

Albella remained silent, pondering the feasibility of using the dark side of magic to replace the current magic, and what changes it might bring about.

Su Ming, however, had a hunch. The Inverted Man actually had no intention of destroying this world, he just wanted to reclaim his magic.

Given that everything in the world is infused with witchcraft elements, there is much he wants to take away.

However, if they teach him the basics of economics, like learning to lend...

He would realize that leaving magic in the world and continuously earning interest would be far more entertaining and sustainable.

He said in his 'world', there is nothing, not even colors, so he wants revenge against Hecate.

He doesn't lack magic, being the embodiment of the concept of magic, he just wants what's rightfully his.

What could be more fun than watching indebted warlocks in agony?

He craves enjoyment, some relief from an empty life, so they'll give it to him. As long as magic persists, what he wants is ultimately trivial.

And so Su Ming figured it out, comparing it to the Marvel next door, it would be like having warlocks shift from Emperor Vishanti's white magic to other kinds of dark magic.

Previously it was debt or installment payment, now it's a one-time settlement.

Marvel next door has always done it that way, and their mages don't really complain, with a few being absurdly powerful within the Magic Realm.

This side just needs some time. Once the warlocks get used to the concept of equal exchange, they'll accept the reality.

However, simply reasoning with the Inverted Man won't work. One must have enough power to bring him back to the negotiation table.

Seeing Deathstroke has his plan, Albella found herself more at ease.

After all, she draws her power from Hell, and the price is her soul. She doesn't care much about her own life or death, let alone others'.

Just as she was happily smoking and drinking, she received a message, causing the drink to spurt from her mouth.

"Pff!!!"

Su Ming disdainfully glanced at his armor, splattered with liquor and Albella's saliva.

She better have a good reason, or else the employer's pay will be docked...

"Diana escaped from Hell."

The first words out of Albella's mouth shocked Bo Bo, but Su Ming was only a bit surprised.

"What happened?"

The female mage threw the cigarette to the ground, extinguishing it with her foot, speaking irritably: "What else? She is the Queen of the Amazon, and Maggie Ken is the Queen of Hell. These two were together, said something wrong, and started fighting."

Su Ming furrowed his brows, put on his helmet, and lifted the transformed ball of the Godslayer.

"By right, Diana shouldn't be a match for Mackenzie. Lucifer, before leaving Hell, left the angel power within him to Mackenzie as her basis for ruling Hell."

"That's only half of it." Albella rinsed her mouth with another drink: "This power was too strong, so strong that everyone in Hell was on edge. The lower demons were familiar with Lucifer, knowing he wouldn't use angel power to rule them, but Mai Zi had always been behind the scenes. Once she assumed the position, they feared she'd abuse the angel power."

"So?"

Su Ming honestly didn't know this, as Hell is too vast for everything to be documented in comics.

"So Mai Zi, to show she wouldn't misuse this power, nailed her own hands to the throne using an ancient god's weapon. Without breaking free from such constraints, she becomes merely a temporary symbol exercising monarchy, doing this as a gesture of love and loyalty to Lucifer."

"Then how can she break free?" Donna was intrigued, enjoying such romantic stories.

The Prince of Hell left power and a throne to his lover, who simply oversaw things, waiting patiently for his return.

Just thinking about it almost moved Donna to tears.

But then realizing both protagonists are demons, and with Lucifer's reputation for cruelty and lust, the sentiment vanished instantly, replaced with curiosity and sympathy for Mackenzie.

"The Blazing Angel's Sword, only by cutting Mackenzie's hands with it, can she conceptually break free from the ancient divine artifact's binding." Albella freely shared her information.

Currently, there are three Blazing Angel's Swords.

Lucifer has one, Heaven's supreme angel Michael has another, and there's one with Gabriel.

However, not long ago, Gabriel was banished by the Silver City for some dealings with demons, and his wings were confiscated.

He's now on Earth, broke, and addicted to drugs and alcohol, scraping by in parks or under bridges daily.

Su Ming shouldered the weapon, from afar looking just like he was carrying a large golden bundle.

"Alright, that's enough of a crash course. Albella, take us on a trip to Hell. Let's see where exactly Diana ran off to. This woman really is such a handful."
