Vivian's POV
My mind went completely blank.
Every thought scattered like leaves in the wind.
I stood frozen, unable to move or even draw a proper breath.
Liam's promise rang in my ears, and the certainty in his voice made my knees weak.
Before I could process what was happening, his hands were on me.
"Wait," I breathed, but the word died as his powerful arms circled my waist. He lifted me effortlessly, as if I weighed nothing at all. The cold marble counter pressed against my thighs as he positioned me there, making me feel like I was exactly where I belonged.
Heat pulsed through my core while my heart hammered against my ribs. Liam's fingers traced slow patterns on my legs, and the simple touch was enough to make me dizzy.
I pressed my palms against the smooth surface beneath me, struggling to find my balance. "Liam."
