Vivian's POV
The midnight blue dress hugged my curves like liquid silk. The off-shoulder design framed my collarbones while the sweetheart neckline emphasized my chest. The fabric cinched at my waist before flowing down to a daring thigh-high slit that revealed the length of my leg.
The gown felt regal, sophisticated. But judging by the way Liam's eyes devoured me, it might as well have been pure temptation.
Perhaps it was because he knew I wore absolutely nothing beneath the velvet. Or maybe it was the way I was positioned on his muscular thigh, my bare core pressed directly against the firm muscle of his leg.
"Liam..." My voice wavered, my body instinctively wanting to move against him.
"Something wrong, sweetheart?" His tone was like warm honey as his fingers found my hair, releasing the pins so the strands cascaded down my spine. His gaze grew darker. "Much better. That velvet is absolutely lethal on you, Vivian."
