Chapter 31 - The Ghost Killer

"We still have no idea. There are reports that there was another murder in a random alley. No traces have been found of the killer, but the blood is in the lab for testing. We need to know if it's human blood."

"But how do you know that it's the same person?"

"You remember a while ago, there was also a situation like this, and the most strange thing was that, like now, no one knew the killer. We suspect that it's the same person, but one thing, there were no bodies found in the alley, nor on that street."

"We should wait for now. The lab test can clarify some of our doubts."

"You're right. For now, let's wrap up and leave. There's no point in staying here when no one knows anything related to the case."

"Yeah."

"Everyone! Wrap up and unseal the area." The police officer shouted.

"Ask the reporters to leave. This matter will cause a fuss on the news."

"Okay, officer!"

The officer nodded, and the other man left to ask the reporters to leave.

After some time, the reporters were asked to return one by one.

The area was cleared out in under an hour.

In the apartment, Si-Hun was sitting on the couch with some drinks on the table, and Kuro was seated next to him.

"I might as well check the news. I'm sure the media is all about the incident."

"The media is just SO annoying."

Si-Hun turned on the news, and he was right.

The story of a "mysterious killer" was all over the news.

"I knew it. Damn…"

"Master, you're all over the news even though no one knows it was you."

"So they're connecting dots. Still on that street moment."

"They're smart."

The news was all about the killer who killed monsters, and no one knew who he was.

The media was calling him "The Ghost Killer."

"The Ghost Killer? Haha!" Si-Hun laughed off.

"Yo, you got a cool name, huh?"

Si-Hun looked at Kuro and said

"Guess we will have to stay more underground. The police are surely observing."

"They'll suspect everything."

Si-Hun sighed and grabbed a drink from the table and gulped it whole in one go, then slammed it on the table.

He glanced at Kuro and made a sly expression.

"What?"

"I'm just looking.''

"You aren't drunk."

"I am not."

That night passed.

The next day, Si-Hun got up early and did his workout.

The atmosphere was very quiet, almost too quiet.

A silence that made everything feel intimidating.

Si-Hun was seeing his breath condensing in the air as he breathed.

"Today is so cold," He muttered to himself.

Kuro was not with him; he was at the apartment.

Si-Hun walked quietly to his apartment building.

As he was entering the building, he felt the air shift behind him.

He glanced behind, but no one was there.

Just as he entered the building, he saw someone behind him.

Someone he didn't know was there.

The figure suddenly sprinted towards him.

He was swift.

Si-Hun saw him coming and quickly ran towards the elevator.

Si-Hun quickly pressed the button and entered.

He saw the figure just as the elevator was closing.

The figure backed away, and Si-Hun saw his eyes glowing red.

The figure was so fast that Si-Hun had to use his flash.

"This sure was some powerful entity sent by that b*tch Abriyon!" Si-Hun said as he panicked.

Kuro was at home, and he knew that the entity would not let him go this easily.

But wait…he had his revolver.

Si-Hun got off the elevator and saw him.

That entity, still with that red glow in his eyes.

He was looking at Si-Hun like some prey.

He was a man wearing a beige long coat with a hat and sleek black boots.

"Damn, what do I do? He will do something before I do!"

The entity stood on the other side of the hallway.

Si-Hun took out his revolver, but then a thought hit his mind.

"I can't use it here! There are people here."

He slowly put that revolver back in his hand.

The entity smirked, like it knew what Si-Hun was thinking.

"He's smiling like he already knows my problem...But I can fight you without a weapon…" Si-Hun said to himself.

The entity slowly stepped forward.

Si-Hun stood his guard, his expression a mix of frustration and determination.

Just then, the entity fled so fast and vanished.

"Where did he go?" Si-Hun said.

Si-Hun was confused, and right at that moment, he felt something cold on his neck.

The entity was behind him, and Si-Hun saw that he was holding a silver dagger to his neck.

His breathing was hitting his neck in a way that sent shivers down his spine.

Si-Hun gasped and froze.

"You can't get away this time." The entity said, smirking.
