Chapter 1019 - Chapter 775: The True Target of the Death Eaters_3

...

Meanwhile, Kael and the Weasley Brothers left No. 12 Grimmauld Place. To avoid exposing its location, they quickly ran to another street before using Apparition to reach the place where the Ministry of Magic was located.

The phone booth at the entrance had been overturned and smashed to pieces.

Luckily, they were headed to another entrance, an old record shop.

This shop served as the employee entrance to the Ministry of Magic, with a boss named Broderick, who was also a wizard, but he wasn't in the shop at the moment.

The group didn't pay much attention and went straight to a cabinet.

Kael stepped forward, "I'm the Senior Ministerial Assistant, and I need to go to the Ministry of Magic now."

"Welcome to the Ministry of Magic," came a cold female voice from the record player nearby.

Then, the cabinet clicked open, revealing a passage behind it.

The three of them immediately ran inside.

The hall of the Ministry of Magic was in chaos, with groans and cries for help heard all around, and several Healers were constantly rushing about treating wounds for the injured.

The recently repaired gold statue had been smashed again, and golden fragments were scattered across the floor.

"How's it going? Cedric isn't here, right?" Fred anxiously asked.

"No." Kael looked around and said.

"It's alright." George said softly, "Maybe he's not here. After all, it was an hour after work time. He might have already gone home."

"Yes." Fred nodded.

Even though they said so, he knew in his heart that due to the chaos caused by the Death Eaters recently, the Ministry of Magic had long lost the concept of quitting time.

They fell silent for a moment.

"The Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures is on the fourth floor." Fred suddenly spoke up,

"Alright."

Without any extra words, Kael and George immediately understood his meaning and turned towards the lift.

Thankfully, the lift was still working.

But because of the crowd, it was already surrounded by people, including Healers and others who had come after receiving the news.

"This won't work, we need another way."

"Take the stairs." Kael said.

But when they arrived at the stairs, they found it blocked by massive stone debris that had fallen from upstairs.

A few people were trying to blast a path using The Blasting Curse, but with little effect.

"Move aside, don't block the way!"

Kael took out his wand, but instead of using The Blasting Curse, he cast the Transfiguration Spell, turning the massive stone into a Crup.

The Crup happily ran aside, and in an instant, the stairs were clear.

"You can use the Transfiguration Spell like that?" Fred blinked and said.

"What else?" Kael said, "It's better than using The Blasting Curse, right?"

"Oh, that's really impressive."

Just as the three of them were hastily running up the stairs, a voice suddenly came from behind, "It's not everyone who can transform such a big stone."

Kael didn't turn back, as he was worried about Cedric and wasn't paying attention to the person behind.

But the person kept chattering on.

"Being able to do this at your age is really impressive. I feel like you look familiar. Do you also work at the Ministry of Magic?"

"But let me tell you, my son could definitely do this too. He's currently transporting the injured and insists I go elsewhere to help."

"Oh, by the way, you two are the Weasley family's kids, aren't you? How's Arthur?"

Hearing Mr. Weasley's name finally snapped Kael back to reality, and he suddenly realized that the voice sounded a bit familiar.

Kael abruptly stopped and turned, seeing behind them a tall man with a brown short beard following.

"Mr. Digory?" Kael looked at the person incredulously, "How is it you?"

"Oh, Kael." Amos Digory was equally surprised, "So it's you. No wonder I felt you looked familiar."

Then he also recognized Fred and George, "Sure enough, seeing your hair, I knew you were from the Weasley family. How are Arthur and Chris? Are they alright?"

"They're fine." Fred smacked his lips, "Mr. Digory, what about Cedric..."

"Cedric, ah, he's escorting some seriously injured people to St Mungo's." Amos Digory said, "As you can see, here we can only provide some basic treatment."

"Is he alright?" George asked.

"Ah, he's fine." Mr. Digory waved his hand, lowering his voice, "Although it's a bit inappropriate to say so, when the Death Eaters attacked the Ministry, we were fortunately at Borgin's house, dealing with his magically modified creatures."
