Chapter 601 - Chapter 578: Prison No. 7

The antics of the Black Scorpion gang didn't concern Yugen. In fact, he didn't even lift his head, as he was busy sorting through the new card deck he had just acquired during the flight to Kaiba Company.

As he flipped through the cards one by one absent-mindedly, he suddenly noticed that the chattering noise on the other side had suddenly stopped. It felt like the white noise during a nap abruptly coming to a halt. Curious, he temporarily put down the cards in his hand and glanced up.

And with that glance, he caught sight of a girl dressed in a sailor uniform, akin to a JK-style outfit, walking towards him.

Her silver hair was as pristine and flawless as the first snow of early winter, gleaming under the light with a delicate and gentle sheen. Her blue and white sailor uniform had the distinct flavor of the Academie's Obelisk Blue girls' uniforms, paired with a high-waisted short skirt that accentuated her long, straight legs, complemented by pristine canvas shoes.

Yugen was dumbfounded at first.

Huh? Who is this?

How did she refresh onto his plane all of a sudden?

The girl walked straight to his side and sat down without a word. She turned her small hand over, and a book with an ancient look appeared to float out of nowhere, landing steadily in her hand.

Only then did Yugen seem to realize something. He carefully examined the girl's pretty but aloof face, and the more he looked, the more familiar it seemed...

"Silent?"

The girl nodded slowly.

"What's with this outfit?" Yugen felt quite baffled.

The Silent Magician looked up at him seriously.

"Wait... you've come to the real world?" Yugen realized something.

Silent nodded again.

"Did something happen?" Yugen asked.

He recalled that in DM, the Black Mage Girl had only called upon her master Atom and Yugi once from the Elf Realm, and that was during a world-ending level of danger. It seemed that a spirit coming to reality from the Elf Realm was not easy and usually indicated something important.

But Silent shook her head.

"Nothing serious?"

Silent pointed to herself, then pointed to the Thief Gang's five members who had already quieted down and gestured.

Yugen, quite miraculously, understood her gestures.

The five members of the Thief Gang were not only Monster Spirits, able to return to their residing Monster Cards at any time, but also had their own identities in reality.

For example, Mina was the academy nurse, Zik was a student in the Red Dormitory, and Takaga was in the academy's logistics department.

Silent expressed her intention to stay here long-term, so she needed to create a human identity for herself just like the five-member group.

"You're saying you want to go to Duel Academy too? As a student?"

Silent nodded again.

Yugen chuckled, "But the semester is almost over. Enrolling next semester would make you my junior. Besides, without any identification, how would you take the exams or enroll..."

Silent pointed at Yugen.

"You're saying you want me to figure something out?"

Silent nodded seriously.

Alright, she came right in and assigned me a task.

"Alright, I'll make a few calls and see what I can do."

Yugen smiled and patted her silver hair.

"After all, you're my best partner."

A slight smile crept onto the glacier-like face of the girl.

She couldn't help but glance triumphantly at the already quiet five.

As if to say, now you know who's in charge?

The group of five wisely kept their heads down, playing dead, and no one spoke.

Although Yugen had to admit, he didn't use Silent much in his duels now, she was undoubtedly his favorite spirit outside of duels.

Because she was genuinely competent.

Not just in combat; in terms of battle power, the strongest spirit he could easily command was undoubtedly the Chaos Warrior.

But clearly, the Chaos Warrior was a pure Warrior; while he was great with a sword, there wasn't much else he could do beyond that.

Silent was different. In terms of pure battle power, she couldn't match the legendary warrior, but she was an Advanced Mage, proficient in a variety of spells.

Lighting Technique, flight, Magic Shock, shape-shifting, Spiritual Interference...

Even if there was something she wasn't great at, there was barely anything she couldn't do at all.

If Yugen had the freedom to choose a spirit to keep by his side in the real world, he would undoubtedly choose the Silent Magician.

Mid-flight, Keihei's call came again.

Yugen felt it was odd. It hadn't been long, so why the rush?

"Keihei? I'm on the way, and there's still..."

"Head to Prison No. 7!"

Keihei's voice sounded urgent, like he was running.

Yugen was taken aback, "What?"

"Prison No. 7, hurry... I heard there's a prison riot, something's gone wrong... Anyway, I'm heading there first; you should hurry directly over as well."

Prison No. 7...

Yugen contemplated for a moment, then stood up and instructed the plane's autopilot program.

"Change course, destination altered. Head to Prison No. 7."

"Understood, sir."

The plane adjusted its direction mid-air, steering towards the prison.

Yugen had heard of Prison No. 7.

It was a special prison contracted and built by Kaiba Group.

A Duel Prison.

Yes, that was the unique aspect of this place. As everyone knows, Dark Duelists possess extraordinary powers, although they need cards to maximize their abilities. Even without using Duel Monster Cards as a medium, they can wield the power of the Dark Game in other ways.

So it becomes almost impossible to hold these supernatural individuals in a regular prison; they require a special facility built to contain such people.

Of course, such situations were not very common. The nature of Dark Duelists often meant they were hard to capture alive, and even if caught, it usually ended in being put down on the spot.

But it wasn't all unheard of. Like the time the president himself raided the Dark Duelist Club, all its members ended up being brought here.

It was a fortress of unmatched resilience constructed by the Kaiba Group, deemed the world's most sturdy prison.

Or at least, it should have been.

When Yugen arrived, he didn't see any fortress-like walls. Instead, the seemingly impregnable prison walls seemed as frail as paper, licked by the flames of anger and despair, left teetering. Billowing black smoke, like heavy dark clouds, obscured the stars and the outside world's view, isolating this place from reality.

Yugen opened the cabin door, leaping out to dive down, deploying a glider mid-air.

Naturally, he had switched back to his Duel King identity, leaving behind the underground rookie Revolver persona.

As of now, Keihei was outside the prison, sweating profusely while discussing something with someone nearby. Inside, chaos reigned.

Yugen landed directly, arriving behind Keihei.

When Keihei turned and saw him, his eyes lit up, as if he had seen a savior.

"You're finally here!"

Yugen stepped forward, "What's going on?"

"I wish I knew. I just heard about the sudden riot; everyone in there is dangerous. If they get out, it's unimaginable..."

"Alright, I'll go take a look. Have your people clear a path."

Yugen stepped forward.

A guard, seemingly a prison officer, saw someone attempting to enter and urgently called from behind, "What are you doing? You have no idea how dangerous it is inside..."

However, he was soon grabbed by Keihei.

Keihei merely smiled at the guard.

"You seriously don't know who this is, huh?"
