After moving through the house, which felt like a maze, Dorian finally found the entrance to the dining room.
'This guy was rich, had all things provided, and was living life in an easy mode. Why did he kill himself? What made him not endure it any further? I hope his family wasn't the cause.'
The dining room was lavish, extravagant, and very spacious. The hanging chandelier was larger than two fully grown men.
In the large, long table, there sat a middle-aged man towards the other end. His red coat with several badges on the chest was eye-catching.
"Sit down, my dear son, Blaine. You've stood there for a long time."
Dorian halted his frantic gaze, eyes wide in wonder, and decisively took a seat at the edge of the long table.
"That's not your usual spot, Blaine."
"I want to sit here today."
'This middle-aged man is Blaine's father; by looking at him, he doesn't look like the one responsible for Blaine's suicide.'
The curly moustache butler from earlier was standing in the corner of the room. The maid brought the plate with the food to the table. It was a salad, along with lobster-like meat.
Even though Dorian acted calm and elegant on the outside, he was dying to taste the food of another world.
"My son, have you finally grasped an idea for your new business. You said you didn't need my money and can build something on your own."
'That explains why there were so many business and get-rich books'
"I haven't arrived at an effective decision."
"You're only 17 years old, my dear son. Don't stress it too much. Father has done enough for you to be sustained for your entire life. You will be the one who will inherit my businesses and my merchant guilds"

The fragrance and the mix of flavours burst in Dorian's tongue. The lobster-like crustacean was cooked perfectly. Dorian resisted grabbing the entire thing and devouring it with his hands. He maintained etiquette in front of Blaine's father.
After completing the dish and a goodnight to Blaine's father, Dorian exited the dining room and, after walking through the maze-like mansion, finally entered the study room.

Dorian's face suddenly turned pale; he had a hint of an idea.
