Chapter 464 - Chapter 271: Exchange of Disciples

"Really boring, I'm not coming next time." Obito decided not to waste time attending clan meetings anymore after leaving the shrine.

He felt that clan meetings were just places for a group of self-absorbed adults to entertain themselves; anything unpleasant was just outright denied.

"You can come, but you don't need to come in person. You can send a Shadow Clone to listen in." Shisui offered his suggestion.

"Most of the Uchiha Clan's ninjas attend the clan meetings, and you can learn about the family's situation through the discussions."

Although he was denied by many Uchiha just now, Shisui still wanted to attend the meetings whenever possible.

After all, history is a thing of the past. To truly solve the current problems of the Uchiha, you must understand the current Uchiha better.

However, this clan meeting made Shisui realize a truth: within the Uchiha Clan, the weak have no say, even if they are geniuses.

Geniuses do indeed enjoy privileges, but those privileges do not include participating in major Uchiha decisions.

So, Shisui suggested using a Shadow Clone to listen in; as long as they don't become strong, they won't be recognized for what they say.

"If it's a Shadow Clone, I estimate my clones would fight with me. They won't want to take on this nonsense task." Obito had enough self-awareness about his Shadow Clones.

He realized that if he didn't want to do something, there was a good chance the Shadow Clones wouldn't want to either.

"Your Shadow Clones really have personality." Shisui tried to say something slightly nicer.

Obito scratched his head and chuckled. Fortunately, the Shadow Clones don't let him down at critical moments, otherwise, he would truly want to find another clone Ninjutsu to practice.

After chatting for a while, the two parted ways at the fork in the road.

After returning home, Shisui began his cultivation. He needed to enhance his strength, as he was no longer the top among Mokgetsu's disciples, nor did he have a voice at clan meetings.

"After the internship, I should just graduate directly. Staying in school is too slow for improvement." Shisui thought to himself.

He had previously told Mokgetsu that he wanted to participate in the internship during his second year, but at that time, Shisui hadn't decided whether to graduate or not.

Now, seeing Kakashi, Might Guy, and their rapid advancement in strength, combined with the need to solve internal familial issues requiring greater strength, Shisui felt he couldn't stay in school any longer.

After parting from Shisui, Obito didn't go home immediately because it was still early and not his bedtime yet. Besides, practicing at home would disturb his grandmother's sleep, so Obito found a secluded small forest to start his cultivation.

Obito didn't have much to think about regarding this clan meeting. Although he was a member of the Uchiha Clan, apart from his grandmother and Shisui, he wasn't very familiar with others. Obito only thought their behavior was excessive, denying Shisui without even listening properly.

The next day, as usual, Obito went to the Southern Border Forest to start his cultivation, but today he didn't start immediately. Instead, he mentioned his grandmother's situation.

"How can I get Grandma to agree to go to the hospital for a check-up?" Obito asked Mokgetsu, seeking help.

"Just tell her the hospital has an event with free check-ups, no need to spend money." Mokgetsu thought for a moment and replied.

Older adults are usually reluctant to go to the hospital for a few reasons: they either think their body is fine, or they don't want to spend money. If they can get it for free, they usually wouldn't mind going.

"You can also add that the first fifty will receive free eggs." Mokgetsu added.

"Will Grandma really go if I say it like that?" Obito scratched his head, not understanding the mystery in it, as from his perspective, health check-ups don't cost much and eggs are cheap.

"Try it first. If it doesn't work, I'll think of another way for you." Mokgetsu nodded and said.

If even the free giveaway wouldn't lure her, Mokgetsu would have to ask Tsunade for help. Having resources nearby should be utilized.

"Okay." Obito noted Mokgetsu's advice and then rushed home to try it out.

On his way home, Obito ran into Shizune. Not being very familiar with her and in a rush, he didn't greet her.

"So fast, is it Obito?" Shizune barely recognized Obito from his features.

"Why is Obito here, and Mokgetsu's training area is so remote..." Shizune couldn't help but complain as she saw the towering trees around.

Shizune walked around for quite a while until she was discovered by a Shadow Clone and brought to Mokgetsu's main body.

Shizune thought there would only be Mokgetsu here, but it turns out there were several of him; she also saw Kakashi and Shisui.

Shizune somewhat recognized Kakashi and Shisui. Kakashi was in her entry year, though he graduated before completing his first year, while Shizune graduated in her fourth year. As for Shisui, Shizune and Shisui were in Class A together during the first special training.

This kind of familiarity is basically just knowing each other's names, so Shizune didn't hastily disturb them; she just watched Mokgetsu.

"What is your Chakra Attribute?" Mokgetsu asked.

Currently, his visible strength was no longer weak, and the things that needed to be disguised before didn't need to be; thus, he directly brought Shizune in to practice together.

"Chakra Attribute... I don't think I've tested it yet. Tsunade-sama said anyway, I would end up learning Medical Ninjutsu from her." Shizune recalled.

Because of Tsunade, her situation was somewhat unique, different from regular class divisions, and after graduation, she directly followed Tsunade as she had no teammates.
