"Since Teacher Mokgetsu has requested, I can't refuse." Might Duy took Mokgetsu and Might Guy to his training place.
"Teacher Mokgetsu, how do you want to experience it? Should I show you the effects after opening the gate?" Might Duy asked after arriving at the place.
"Yes, if possible, I'd like to fight with you in the state of the Sixth Gate," Mokgetsu said.
For an average person, the third gate is the last safety zone, but for someone like Might Duy who has practiced the Eight Gates for more than twenty years, as long as he doesn't open them for too long, the Sixth Gate is not much of a problem.
"Alright, then I'll open up to the Sixth Gate." Might Duy nodded in agreement.
"Injure Gate, open... View Gate, open!" Might Duy swiftly opened the Eight Gates up to the Sixth Gate, the View Gate. With each gate opened, the aura around Might Duy grew stronger, and by the time he reached the Sixth Gate, his body was enveloped in green energy. Just the aura alone made Might Guy feel unable to move.
Using the Byakugan, Mokgetsu saw how the chakra inside Might Guy's body was growing stronger step by step.
"Teacher Mokgetsu, aren't you using the Eight Gates?" Might Duy asked, as he thought Mokgetsu wanted to have a showdown with him using the Eight Gates.
"I've mastered other taijutsu techniques, Senior Dai, you can attack without worry." Mokgetsu said, estimating that Might Duy in the state of the Sixth Gate was at most on the level of an Elite Jonin.
"Then, Teacher Mokgetsu, be careful." Might Duy warned, then immediately rushed out with a punch toward Mokgetsu.
While Mokgetsu maintained the Constant State of the Breath of Rock for 24 hours, the speed and strength were greatly enhanced. Coupled with the powerful insight from the Byakugan, he easily dodged Might Duy's attack with a slight sidestep.
"Haha, this looks like it's going to be a battle full of youth." Seeing Mokgetsu dodge so easily, Might Duy decided not to hold back anymore.
Earlier, he wasn't sure of Mokgetsu's true level and was worried about hurting him, so he didn't go all out.
"I'll be faster next," Might Duy warned, then suddenly disappeared from where he was and kicked toward Mokgetsu.
"Breath of Rock, Full Concentration Breath!" Mokgetsu, deepening his breath on the basis of the Constant State, enhanced his own strength and speed and punched fiercely.
Bang!!
A massive impact sound rang out, the aftermath of their leg-and-fist collision directly toppled the surrounding large trees, making Might Guy uncontrollably retreat.
"So fast and strong!" Might Guy kept his eyes fixed on the battlefield.
He was learning both the Eight Gates and Breathing Techniques, and both the Sixth Gate displayed by Might Duy and Mokgetsu's Breathing Technique showcased a power that surprised Might Guy.
After the collision, Might Duy retreated a meter, while Mokgetsu retreated three meters.
"Having gotten the Breathing Technique for too short a time, my body is still lacking," Mokgetsu thought to himself.
"Opening Gate, open!" Mokgetsu also activated the Eight Gates, but only the First Gate.
Then the two began to clash again.
With the Eight Gates open, Mokgetsu's physical abilities were further enhanced, even when Might Duy exerted all his strength with the Sixth Gate, they could only end in a draw.
"Healing Gate, open!" Mokgetsu then opened the Second Gate, further boosting his power.
"Leaf Whirlwind!"
Mokgetsu kicked a rapid whirlwind kick toward Might Duy, who met it with all his strength.
Boom!!
A sound explosion rang out, the powerful energy impact causing cracks in the ground where they stood, sending dirt and rocks flying in all directions.
This time, Mokgetsu took half a step back, while Might Duy retreated three meters.
"In pure taijutsu, without opening the Pattern, the strength of the two gates of the Eight Gates combined with the Breathing Technique and the Byakugan is enough to defeat an Elite Jonin," Mokgetsu calculated in his mind.
Not considering those master-level ninjutsu, he had quite a few capabilities he hadn't used yet. In battle, he could also switch breathing techniques. If he switched to the Breath of Thunder, Might Duy with the Sixth Gate wouldn't even touch him, and he hadn't used the Transparent World.
Mokgetsu felt he was at a somewhat awkward realm, unable to last long against those Kage-level opponents, but he could easily kill Jonin.
"Senior Dai, let's stop here." Mokgetsu voluntarily stopped the fight.
After all, with the Sixth Gate of the Eight Gates, it's best to open it as little as possible when unnecessary.
Upon hearing Mokgetsu's words, Might Duy deactivated the Eight Gates, closing the opened gates, and the green energy around him dissipated.
"So strong, merely opening two gates and already stronger than my six gates." Might Duy gave a thumbs up, praising him.
Seeing that Mokgetsu was unexpectedly strong made him very happy because Mokgetsu was Might Guy's teacher.
With such a powerful teacher, Might Duy was truly glad for his son, as an excellent teacher can save a lot of detours in cultivation.
"Senior, you are also very strong. Actually, I heard some unkind remarks about you before, Senior Dai," Mokgetsu suddenly said.
"Haha, things like eternal Genin, right? Teacher Mokgetsu, you don't need to mind those; I don't care about those remarks," Might Duy laughed heartily.
"Even before meeting Senior Dai, I thought they were talking nonsense. Senior Dai, you could teach a hardworking and diligent child like Guy, how could you possibly be like they said?"
"Now, having fought with you, Senior Dai, I'm even more certain of my thoughts. With your abilities, becoming a Jonin under normal circumstances would be more than enough," Mokgetsu continued.
"You can't blame them; before I succeeded in cultivating the Eight Gates, I was indeed just a useless Genin," Might Duy explained.
The reason he became known as the eternal Genin was that for more than twenty years, he only cultivated the Eight Gates.
The Eight Gates required a great amount of time to learn, which led to Might Duy being incredibly weak for a long period and a burden to any team.
By the time he learned the Eight Gates, he was already infamously known as the eternal Genin. The only tasks he could do were catching cats, picking up trash, and moving things, begging the clients for those tasks.
No one wanted to team up with him, no one believed in his abilities, and he had no opportunities to show what he could do.
"Senior, it's really Konoha's loss to have someone with your strength remain just a Genin," Mokgetsu sighed.
"Haha, even catching cats helps to maintain Konoha's stability," Might Duy was very easy-going.
He felt it didn't matter what happened to him as long as Might Guy could achieve his dreams.
"Dad, Teacher Mokgetsu, both of you are so strong!" Might Guy was still savoring the battle they just had.
After the battle, Mokgetsu chatted for a while with Might Guy and his father, then left.
Today, he mainly had two purposes: to lay the groundwork for improving trust level plans, and to see his own strength.
Mokgetsu was quite satisfied with the outcome; just using normal Breathing Techniques and the Eight Gates had given him the power to surpass Six Gates Might Duy. Now in Konoha, only a handful of top-level people could pose a threat to him.
