The scene changes, and the sights of the rooftop swiftly transform. The two dueling spirits quickly swap scenes to appear between a Magic Academy.
White towers rose high, surrounded layer upon layer by pale blue magic circles, surprisingly carrying a slight sense of technology.
"With The Grand Spellbook Tower on the field, and if there is a Spellcaster-Type monster existing on my field or in my graveyard, during each standby phase I can return a 'Spellbook' from the graveyard to the bottom of the Deck, then draw one card from the Deck," explained Lamor.
"A school that was once the holy land of magic," Yubel looked up at the towering majestic building, "But even this kind of sacred place disappeared long ago. I wonder what happened there back then..."
If there were players here, they would know the background story of The Grand Spellbook Tower. This deck shares the worldview with the famous "Witchcrafter" series, "Summoner Aleister," and "Magical Citadel of Endymion," all coming from the magic-themed background world.
Of course, everyone is familiar with the setting from the background stories of the YuGiOh card images. And the Spellbook system here comes from the Twelfth Dimension once ruled by The Supreme King, perhaps a parallel world, whether the background stories are the same is unknown.
Lamor drew two more cards.
"Set two cards, end my turn." Lamor had two Set Cards at his foot, "Also, since the effect of 'Spellbook of Power' ends, the Spellbook Magician's attack returns to normal."

After supplementing her hand with two new cards, she activated the Set Card on the field again: "Flip Cover Card! Trap 'Needlebug Nest'! Send the top five cards of the Deck to the Graveyard."
The five cards were swiftly sent to the graveyard, followed by drawing a hand card: "Equip Magic 'Premature Burial'! Pay 800 Life Points, revive a monster from the graveyard.

"You'll soon find out." Yubel smiled enigmatically, drawing another hand card, "Magic Card 'Hurricane'!

A green hurricane swept across, a low pressure crossed the field. The two Set Cards from Lamor's back row, and the white Spellbook Tower, returned to their owner's hand before they could act.
Of course, Yubel's Equip Magic "Premature Burial" also returned to hand.
"'Premature Burial,' requires destruction of the equipped monster when this card is destroyed, but only when 'destroyed' is it so," Yubel said, "Returning to hand through 'Hurricane' isn't destruction, so the resurrected monster through 'Premature Burial' still stays on the field.
Then I activate Equip Magic 'Premature Burial' from hand again, pay 800 Life Points to revive a monster from the graveyard!"

"I tribute 'Samsara Lotus,' and 'Skelengel,' using both monsters as sacrifices!
I now tribute summon myself, 'Yubel'!!"
A card was slammed onto the Duel Disc, bursting into energy forming a black storm! Yubel's own body transformed into an avatar, her face cold, moving to the center of the field, demonic wings slowly spread, her gaze in heterochromatic pupils sharp as icy blades.

"Finally entering the field yourself, Yubel," Lamor said.
"Go ahead and make your remarks while you still can." Yubel said coldly, "Activate Equip Magic 'Axe of Fools' from hand, negate the equipped monster's effects, increase attack power by 1000."
She pointed towards the opposing side.
"I equip 'Axe of Fools' to 'Spellbook Magician of Prophecy,' negating his effect, increasing his attack by 1000!"
The Spellbook Magician's hand gained a heavy war axe. He clumsily swung the axe twice, seeming to have gained strength, but instantly forgot all the spell mantras filling his mind.

"Enter battle phase," Yubel commanded, "I attack 'Spellbook Magician of Prophecy' with my avatar, Yubel!"
The Yubel on the field opened the third eye on her forehead, her heterochromia pupils turning blood-red. The Spellbook Magician seemed agitated under influence, letting out a shout, charging with his axe.
Yet the axe fell on Yubel like striking a slippery tough skin, sliding off. Conversely, Yubel's pupils glimmered red, two vine whips pierced through the air, crossing the field and penetrating Lamor's chest.

"'Yubel' cannot be destroyed by battle," Yubel smiled slightly, "Moreover, any battle damage causing me will be all borne by the opponent."
Lamor slid back, then straightened to adjust his attire.
"Indeed a characteristic effect of yours." Lamor said, "I see, that's why you deliberately increased my monster's attack power, increasing damage?"
"Not just that, while 'Axe of Fools' is equipped, during each of my standby phases, it gives 500 damage to the controller of the equipped monster."
Yubel licked her lips.
"Don't rush, I'll drain you bit by bit."
She waved her arm.
"Set three more cards on the field, ending my turn," Yubel said, "The effect of 'Samsara Lotus' in the graveyard, during the End Phase, if this card exists in the graveyard, it can be revived on the field." (Anime effect)

Lamor closed his eyes lightly.

He reopened his eyes, black as ink, his gaze knife-blade cold.
