Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 - Gathering Feast and Gift

Ivysaur's bud opened wider, petals trembling as sunlight gathered around him. The air thickened with golden light and the Solar Beam forming in his mouth with high intensity.

"Kirlia, stay light on your feet!"

Ivysaur fired. A blinding column of solar energy tore through the clearing, burning a line into the ground. Kirlia vanished with Teleport move and reappeared to his left, her aura shimmering from the displacement.

"Double Team!"

Four copies of Kirlia split out, each flickering around the Ivysaur in a circle. The Grass Pokémon growled, whipping vines wildly, trying to find the real one.

"Confusion barrage!"

Every Kirlia copy launched bursts of psychic light — explosions of violet that filled the grove with pressure waves. Ivysaur staggered, panting, vines flailing. The real Kirlia landed behind him, graceful and focused.

Ivysaur turned, eyes blazing. He lunged forward, stomping down the ground very hard and the large amount of leaves comes out of Ivysaur's flowers.

Leaves spiraled at point-blank range.

"Now, Kirlia uses full power! Mystical Fire!"

Kirlia thrust both arms forward.

Crimson flames surged from her palms which is twisting, spiraling, and blooming like a flower of pure heat. The Razor Leaf attack burned to ash midair. The wave of fire swept over Ivysaur, enveloping him in a glowing inferno tinged with psychic energy.

The forest gasped and even the Pokémon watching froze.

When the flames faded, Ivysaur stood trembling, smoke rising from his leaves. He gave a weak grin but defiant till the end before collapsing forward, the earth catching his fall.

The wild Pokémon erupted in cheers with cries of joy, rustling leaves, the rhythm of forest life celebrating the victor. Kirlia panted, exhausted but proud, her aura flickering like a fading ember.

William stepped forward, kneeling beside her. "You were incredible," he said softly. "Mystical Fire… you've really mastered it."

Kirlia smiled, voice musical. "Kirlia!"

Venusaur's deep eyes gleamed as he lumbered forward. He glanced at Ivysaur, then at William. A low, approving rumble echoed through the grove. Permission and acknowledgment.

Ivysaur stirred, looking up at William. His gaze wasn't angry now, just curious. Respectful.

William held out a Poké Ball. "You fought really well. You must had trained very hard. Come with me. Let's see what's beyond this garden."

A moment of stillness then Ivysaur tapped the ball with his vine.

The capsule sealed with a soft flash of light. With that William catch the new member, Ivysaur from this journey.

Evening in the Mysterious Garden

The air shimmered in hues of green and gold as the forest settled into twilight. Fireflies blinked like tiny lanterns between the leaves, and somewhere deeper in the woods, a river murmured softly. The Mysterious Garden, hidden from the rest of the world, glowed with a gentle serenity which is the kind that felt alive, breathing, sacred.

Near the heart of a moss-ringed clearing, a small fire crackled. The smell of grilled Oran berries and roasted root vegetables drifted upward, mingling with the scent of dew and blooming flowers. William stirred the pan, sitting cross-legged with a calm smile.

"All right, everyone," he said, tapping the spoon against the rim. "Dinner's ready. Come over here."

Kirlia, sitting by his side, clapped her small hands, eyes bright. "Kirlia!"

Eevee darted forward instantly, tail wagging like a metronome. "Vee vee!"

Electabuzz stretched his arms and trudged over, giving a loud, satisfied grunt before plopping down near the fire. His fur caught the light, glinting faintly under the orange glow.

The shiny Nidoran watched a little hesitantly from the edge of the light. His ears flicked at the sound of laughter, but his paws stayed half-buried in the grass.

Ivysaur sat opposite him, petals gently pulsing. He sniffed the air, vines twitching eagerly. His stomach gave a very distinct growl.

William chuckled softly. "I see someone's hungry."

Ivysaur blushed with a faint pink tint beneath the blue-green skin and gave a bashful grin. "Saur…"

Kirlia giggled telepathically, and Eevee joined her with a mischievous chirp.

William began to distribute plates which is the small wooden bowls of food he'd carefully prepared: berry glaze on roasted roots, slices of dried fruit, and a mix of crushed nuts shaped into bite-sized energy bars.

Electabuzz immediately took his share, devouring it with the enthusiasm of a hungry athlete. "Buzz!" He gave a thumbs-up, cheeks sparking slightly.

Kirlia ate slowly, legs folded elegantly, as if enjoying a fine meal at a ceremony. Eevee hopped around her, occasionally stealing pieces from Electabuzz's bowl, earning a loud, mock-annoyed growl.

"Eevee!" William said, tone half stern, half amused.

She froze mid-chew, looked at him with the biggest innocent eyes she could muster, then continued eating anyway.

Ivysaur, on the other hand, was eating like someone who hadn't tasted good food in ages. His mouth never stopped moving; he inhaled berries and roots alike, letting out small noises of delight. "Ivy! Ivy!"

Kirlia covered her mouth, giggling again. Nidoran's ears twitched and his gaze softened as he watched the cheerful Ivysaur enjoying himself.

William noticed the look and gently placed a bowl in front of Nidoran. "You too. You're part of this now."

Nidoran hesitated, sniffed the bowl, then glanced at William again. Slowly, he started eating with cautious bites at first, then quicker, more relaxed ones. His tail began to sway because of the joy.

For the first time, he didn't look like a lost and lonely Pokémon.

A rustling came from the trees. Wild Pokémon peeked out which are Chikorita, Bellsprout, Roselia, even a few Oddish bouncing shyly toward the light.

William smiled. "Don't be shy. There's enough for everyone."

He tossed a few pokemon foods, berry clusters and Oran rolls their way. The wild Pokémon squeaked and chirped in gratitude, forming a loose circle around the fire.

Then the ground trembled with softly, rhythmically. The giant shadow appeared at the far end of the clearing, massive leaves brushing the treetops.

Venusaur emerged. The Guardian of the Garden. His eyes glowed gently in the dim firelight not menacing, but serene, full of age-old wisdom.

Every Pokémon went quiet for a moment. Then Venusaur gave a low rumble which is approving, calm. William stood, bowing his head slightly. "Thank you for letting us stay tonight."

Venusaur blinked, vines shifting. From one of them, he lifted a Miracle Seed which is shimmering faintly, pulsing with green light and placed it near William's pack.

"…A gift for me?" William asked softly.

The Venusaur nodded once, gaze steady.

William took it reverently. "I'll use it well. Thank you for your hospitality."
