Chapter 5 - Chapter 5-Black Runes Of Immortality

Ador had wandered for hours through the southern lands beyond the Sect before the runes finally came into view. Dark energy seeped from the cliffs, smoke curling around his feet. With each step, the air grew heavier, pressing against his lungs, his pulse tightening under the suffocating aura.

He paused, tracing a circle in the air with his hand. The chilling pressure wavered, dispersing slightly. A soft, protective glow formed around him a barrier of divine energy, steady and unwavering.

He stepped forward into the runes. The temperature dropped sharply, but the barrier held, insulating him from the cold and the oppressive power that lingered in the air. Faint runes glimmered along the walls, subtle but alive, as if they were silently watching him, measuring his every step.

Hours passed in silence. There were no creatures, no traces of the disciples who had perished here. Only the faint sound of his own footsteps echoed through the hollow space. Eventually, he reached a pond, fed by water flowing from an unseen source, its surface shimmering unnaturally.

Suddenly, a dagger sliced through the air, narrowly missing him.

"Who's there?" a chilling voice called out, low and menacing.

Ador's eyes narrowed. Without a word, he let dark energy coil across his face, molding into a cold, demonic mask. Shadows seemed to cling to it, hiding every expression, revealing nothing.

He remained still, watching, waiting. Somewhere in the darkness, something was watching him too.

He finally understood why there were no creatures or corpses of the Azure Sect disciples. They were not dead. Seeing them now, he almost wished they had been.

But it wasn't a pity. It was disgusting. All those who were meant to die had been twisted, fused with the dark runes, part of a grotesque experiment. Limbs bent unnaturally, bodies crawling and shivering, eyes wide with fear and submission

Ador didn't flinch. He did not intend to save them. Yet, he could see opportunity even in this horror. These creatures, once human, could be repurposed, modeled into something useful.

A deep, crazed voice echoed through the rune chamber.

"Stop what you are doing… and kneel before me. Praise me."

The voice was his own, slightly altered through dark mana, layered with divine power. It showered like thunder, carrying a chilling authority that made even the runes tremble.

But the ones before him were not ordinary mortals. One moved with sudden speed, thrusting his blade straight toward Ador's chest. Ador didn't even blink. Shadows beneath the man's feet surged upward, binding him mid-strike. He could not move his body ,he was fully under Ador's control.Quickly, Another lunged from behind only to be seized by his own darkness and slammed into the ground.

For a moment, silence hung heavy. Then one voice spoke, calm but steady with hostility.

"Who are you?" the man demanded coldly. "This place does not belong to you. Leave while you can."

The calmness in his tone was an illusion .Ador could feel the killing intent that radiated from him like heat. The man's power pressed against his defense barrier, making the air ripple. Strong… but not nearly enough.

Ador smiled behind the mask. So they still dare to threaten me?

He raised a single hand. The atmosphere shifted instantly, light dimmed, and every shadow in the chamber began to twist uncontrollably. The air became thick, suffocating..

In the next moment, the world shattered. Reality was warped as an illusion but no one can tell if it was illusion,it was too real . The chamber vanished, replaced by a realm of crimson skies and rivers of fire. Upon a towering throne of flame sat Ador, cloaked in black, his face hidden behind a demonic mask. The weight of divinity and death pressed down on every soul present.

The illusion was powerful but he himself was not strong enough to handle the illusion,he could not hold it for long. Yet, in that short span, it was enough.

He lowered his hand. With a mere gesture, their bodies slammed into the ground. Bones cracked; weapons fell. A few still struggled to rise. Ador raised one finger, and a dark mana of bullet was thrown to his head. ha…he was weak, felling relieved.

"Speak," he commanded, with a hoarsh voice.

The leader swallowed hard, forcing his trembling voice to remain steady.

"We… we are of the Heavenly Six Cult," he confessed. "Our leader… he resides within the Immortal Domain. An eight-star realm master."

Ador's eyes gleamed beneath the mask.

"Then kneel," he said softly.

"I am…" Ador paused, his voice hard and swift like distant thunder, "…a forgotten god. One who once ruled the light and shadow. You stand now in the presence of rebirth."

The aura that followed made the air itself shudder. Light and darkness coiled together, wrapping around him like living serpents. It wasn't power,it was divinity itself.

Paul Geat, the leader, bowed his head, his voice barely a whisper. "W-What do you seek of us… my lord?"

Ador stepped closer, the sound of his boots echoing faintly.

"Your obedience," he said. "Your loyalty. From this day forward, you will serve me. You will no longer crawl for your cult. You will build anew."

He extended his hand, pressing a mark of pure darkness into Paul's chest and transfer to others as well . The man screamed as shadows crawled across his skin, merging with his veins. The others watched in horror as their own shadows writhed in unison. They were his now completely.

"You will recruit more," Ador continued. "Spread through the lands, but do not return here. This place is no longer yours it will be found soon."

"You will call yourselves the Immortal Wings. You will pray to me… and when the time comes, I shall grant you power beyond comprehension."

The chamber grew silent once more.

The cultists remained kneeling, trembling beneath the weight of what they had witnessed.

Ador's form dissolved into mist, his mask the last thing to fade .

And in that suffocating silence, one truth settled deep in their hearts

A forgotten god had returned.

After a while, deep in the ruins Ador coughed blood his veins ruptured but dive energy was healing him constantly. The illusion backfired him, it was too powerful for him now, but he was not feeling the pain but was rather excited to know what will he became once he rises in rank.

He barely survived , if any more late them he would have died for nothing, but he got a loyal but sacrifices lamps who he will control fully.

He was assembling his thoughts then suddenly , he was attracted by something and deep inside him something was awaiting for him to go there.
