Natsu and Gray stood at the edge of the camp. Their expressions quickly changed from annoyance at being beaten to the punch, to smiles of happiness for Cana.
Natsu ran over, staring like a curious child at the strange, faintly glowing magic pattern on Cana's wrist. "Wow, wow, wow! Is this the First Master's Super Magic? What's it called?"
Although Gray didn't shout like Natsu, his gaze closely followed Cana's wrist, betraying the turmoil in his heart.
"This is Fairy Glitter. The First Master said it's her strongest offensive magic."
"Oh! So it's Fairy Glitter." Natsu nodded vigorously, putting on a knowledgeable expression, then continued, "Never heard of it."
Gray's lips twitched. "If you don't know, don't pretend you do."
Natsu didn't care. He only knew Cana's new magic was powerful, so naturally, the stubborn Natsu began his usual stubbornness.
"Cana, I challenge you!"
"No, I challenge Fairy Glitter!"
"Isn't that still me...?"
Cana looked at Natsu with a deadpan expression. "This is the First Master's most powerful Super Magic, you know. I don't want to use it on my comrades. If I use it, it'll be against enemies who threaten the guild."
Seeing Natsu still had a battle-hungry look, Noah quickly changed the subject. "Cana's right. Fairy Glitter is very dangerous magic—the most destructive of the First Master's Three Great Super Magics. Not something to use on our own people."
"Three Great Super Magics?" Natsu tilted his head, feeling like he'd heard it somewhere but couldn't recall.
Gray also looked thoughtful. He only knew about Fairy Law, which was magic only the Guild Master could use.
Cana looked helpless. "You two... don't you ever read the guild's books?"
Noah then re-educated these two 'old' guild newcomers about Fairy Tail's Three Great Super Magics.
Mavis once created three Super Magics.
The awe-inspiring, super-group magic, Fairy Law.
The ultra-single target magic that draws power from the stars, Fairy Glitter.
The super-defensive magic that repels all, Fairy Sphere.
These three Super Magics were the trump cards Mavis prepared for the guild, but due to her sudden, untimely death, only Fairy Law was completed.
However, after years of wandering as a ghost on Tenrou Island, the idle Mavis gradually perfected Fairy Glitter and Fairy Sphere.
Unfortunately, while the three Super Magics were powerful, they all had certain flaws.
Fairy Law would consume the user's life force, Fairy Glitter had extremely high talent requirements, and Fairy Sphere required strong conviction to activate.
Mavis's willingness to give Fairy Glitter to Cana demonstrated Cana's high magical talent.
Watching Natsu and Gray's undisguised envy, Cana put a hand on her hip, proudly wiggling her wrist. "Hmph, this is the perfect combination of my skill and luck! While you two idiots were still fighting, I'd already found the First Master's tombstone."
Cana emphasized the word "fighting" and provocatively glanced at Natsu and Gray.
Natsu immediately squatted down like a deflated ball, clutching his head. "It's all Gray's fault! If you hadn't dodged and made my magic miss, the Guild Master wouldn't have chased us, and we wouldn't have rolled down the hill... Maybe we could have found the First Master's tombstone first."
"Huh? You can blame me for that?!"
A vein popped on Gray's forehead. "It was clearly you using magic recklessly with terrible aim! Besides, if you hadn't tripped me, we wouldn't have found that..."
Gray and Natsu suddenly remembered something, and their impending argument stopped abruptly.
Noah keenly caught Gray's pause and looked at them curiously. "What did you find? Did you have any other 'gains' besides fighting and running away?"
Cana also stopped showing off, looking over with interest. "You two idiots had an adventure?"
Natsu, who was squatting on the ground, suddenly looked up. His eyes instantly brightened, dejection replaced by immense excitement. Although they'd missed the First Master's inheritance, they'd stumbled upon a "treasure" by accident.
His annoyance vanished. Natsu jumped up, his face beaming with a triumphant smile, as if he'd won a round. "Hehehe... Gray, show them! The secret treasure of Tenrou Island that you and I found!"
Gray mysteriously pulled the purplish-red spherical jade stone from his tangled, discarded shirt. He'd hastily wrapped it earlier.
The wrapping came open, revealing a half-head-sized, crystal-clear purple jade stone exposed to the sunlight.
Inside the jade, golden-yellow light particles glittered like stars, slowly flowing and floating, emitting an ancient and gentle magic fluctuation.
This thing clearly looked extraordinary.
"What a beautiful stone!"
Cana leaned closer and touched the surface of the jade.
Immediately, gentle Magic Power was transmitted from the jade into her body, finally gathering in the Fairy Glitter magic pattern on her forearm.
She instinctively withdrew her hand and exclaimed, "It actually transmitted Magic Power to me on its own? This magic is so special... it feels very comfortable."
Natsu's tail was practically wagging to the sky as he exaggeratedly recounted how he and Gray discovered the jade stone.
Listening to Natsu's description, Noah became interested.
Giving Magic Power to Natsu, helping Gray condense ice elements, filling Cana's Fairy Glitter... this strange jade stone seemed to react differently depending on who touched it.
Just as Noah wondered what it would do if he touched it, the ghost loli who'd been strolling Tenrou Island with her husband and son returned.
"Oh my! Isn't this the Tenrou Jade!"
"Where did you dig it up from?"
The others looked in the direction of the voice to see a tiny figure floating on August's shoulder.
Mavis's clear, large eyes were unblinkingly fixed on the purplish-red jade stone emitting a soft glow in Natsu's hand, her face showing a complex emotion of long-lost reunion.
The tiny figure drifted closer, Mavis's gaze firmly drawn to the jade stone, her voice ethereal, carrying deep emotion and nostalgia.
"Its Magic Power is contained and abundant. Almost a hundred years have passed, and the Tenrou Jade has finally fully repaired itself."
"It's because of it that I was able to meet Precht, Yuri, and Warrod..."
