A few more days pass,
Luffy is having the time of his life, and it wasn't an exaggeration. With Anchor done updating most of the crew's weapons, he was mostly spending his time working with his devil fruit powers.
As he was a new devil fruit user, he needed to train to better use his abilities. And so Luffy was kind of taking advantage of it by essentially making Anchor the gravity-man to train himself.
By eating the disco-shaped large balls that gave out increased gravity, Anchor was able to use its ability even without a power source. So with that, he kind of became a discount Fujitora. Usopp also had used his powers on him to make him larger so in one corner of the room, one could see a giant Popeye holding out his arm with strain visible on his face.
In place of his hands were two giant silver disco ball-like things that affected the whole room with gravity. He was getting better at using his powers, as he could hold onto the properties of anything within one hour. He of course had to spit them out before then, or else they would get digested. It was also making him stronger in some ways, as the backlash from the gravity was also falling on him.
Anchor could also affect the area under him to an increased gravity of two to three times as his crewmates went about training in calisthenics and weight lifting.
Of course, the pieces of equipment were also made by Anchor to be able to withstand the high amount of gravity along with making them quite dense —and weighty— so as to account for the crew's supernatural strength.
"You don't know me, son!" Luffy yelled through gritted teeth, as he pushed the barbell from his chest, "You don't know me, son!" he repeated as he pushed through.
Luffy was of course in his Lion-Man form. No point holding back while training. Luffy was even using Haki to increase his strength, and yet he was still struggling to move the weights, showing how tough it was.
Even though Armament Haki mainly increased attack power by coating and hardening your muscles through the Color of Armament, it also increased your strength output, though not by much. And yet Luffy was using all of it to help himself in any way possible with training.
The large barbell bent under it's own weight, with having two plates showing (100 GM) on each side. With the increased gravity, it was much more than that.
[1 GM equals to the weight of Going Merry, which is coated in metal plates to increase durability. Meaning 1 Going Merry. A particular unit of measurement was founded by the great Captain Usopp! Of course, as it was mainly made by compressed rocks with Usoop's powers, he was the one to name it.]
While Luffy was bench pressing, his crew was doing their own kind of exercise in the increased gravity.
Zoro and Sanji were pulling Gin, who was in his full zoan form that was almost twenty feet in height. Gin was trying to hold his place with four limbs digging into the floor, he was even using his tail to hold himself in place.
And yet against Zoro and Sanji's strength, he was getting dragged along. Both men were also not using the devil fruit abilities and opted for pure strength because of it.
Hatchan was doing something similar but with the sea king Momoo, as the six-armed fishman was trying to pull his friend. And weirdly enough, even though Momoo was larger than Gin, he weighed almost half as much as him.
But in some way it made sense, if Momoo was too heavy he wouldn't be able to swim. While Ankylosarus were predators of the land where having more weight made their defense formidable, especially in ancient times.
While that was happening on the side, Kuina and Sparky were having a mock battle of sorts. Mainly Kuina was training as she tried to dodge all the bullets shot by Sparky, and it was quite hard mainly due to the increased gravity. She was even forced to use her new sword techniques to do it.
Sparky was mainly doing the shooting, though the small monkey couldn't do too much. He was notably taller than before, almost four feet tall when standing on his legs. Usually, he loved to train as well, mainly with Luffy being an influence.
But his body was going through major changes for some reason, as he was growing in height every day by half a centimeter. Luffy was kind of worried but Chopper explained that Sparky was just going through adolescence for his species. Which given how old Sparky was, made some kind of sense.
Sparky was around fifteen and so he hit the monkey version of puberty, even though normal monkeys were supposed to hit puberty a lot earlier. Sparky's body was weird, and the crew left it at that.
Because of that reason, Sparky couldn't push his body too hard, as it would take a few weeks for his changes to end. So he was mainly doing light training for once.
On the other side, Coby was going against both Johnny and Yosaku. With Coby even having weights on his arms and legs. Under the pressure of gravity and weight Coby couldn't use Soru to dodge, while his opponents could. So Coby was left with other things in his arsenal to tank the hits and fight back.
Bartolomeo was also training, and even though his body was weak compared to the others, as he mainly had focused on his devil fruit powers after joining the crew, he was still in better shape than the newest members, Penguin and Shachi. Even Cricket, and the Monkey brothers were traveling with them.
Law, Bepo, and Chopper weren't training as they were in the dungeon medical room. The same room that they had discovered the second day, and were researching the medical knowledge there.
Robin was also with them, as she was the only one who could read the Ancient language there.
Nami was mostly relaxing and opted to use her Maple Logia fruit creatively rather than doing strength training like the rest of the crew.
Usopp wasn't around for thw training as well, as he was calling back to Syrup Village and sharing his grand adventures with Kaya, Merry, and the kid-trio.
Sabo was also calling to report to Dragon about what happened, how much gold Luffy had donated to their cause, and about his new powers. It was obvious to say, that even the most wanted man alive was flabbergasted, shocked, and possibly bamboozled.
All in all, all of the crew were training their asses off with everything they got. They had to last an hour of training, and whoever failed would usually get made fun of. And no one wanted that.
As time passed some gave up while others pushed through. Some even changing exercises to make it more interesting and challenging. By the end of the hour, all of the Straw Hats were exhausted from the day's training.
And so Anchor returned to normal size along with ending the effects of the gravity room.
