"Of course I am… just don't hit me in the process," Anchor said taking a few more steps back as he wore a thick shade of black glasses to protect him from the upcoming steps. Getting a few chuckles from his crewmates, he then looked towards Kuina, "I might need your ice for the next step, so be ready."
Kuina, who was waiting on the floor and polishing her blade, looked at Anchor and nodded. Standing up as she readied her power when she was done.
Sabo attacked, firing his strongest lightning, and even adding his haki into it. Holding nothing back, Anchor urged him to continue, and so he did.
The heat from the constant state of plasma was so strong that, the ground beneath it started to melt. Anchor observed the weapon through his shades carefully. As the other layer started burning away, revealing the complex design he had implemented on the weapon.
And when it was done, he gave the signal, "Ice it up!"
The young woman raised up her hands quickly, from the ground a thick layer of frost came out like a pillar as Sabo stopped his powers. And because of the ice, the weapon was encased in a thick block of ice, giving it a mesmerizing sight.
Anchor came forward and lightly tapped the ice with his anchor-hammer, shattering it into pieces as the metal staff fully came into view.
It was a long metal staff, almost six feet in height. With mat black metal with golden highlights, that seemed to glow from within. Almost like the circuits of the dungeon walls.
And unlike the Nameless Naginata, it wasn't all that fancy, it almost seemed to blend in and not catch attention. But that was the point, no one needed a glowing stick for a weapon, especially not a Revolutionary.
"And done…" Anchor said, a proud smile on his face. He looked over to Sabo who was coming forward, "All yours… test it out."
Sabo mindlessly nodded but he was fully focused on the metal staff instead. He could feel a connection with it, he couldn't point at what it was… but something was there. Sabo held the metal staff in hand, taking it out from the ground as he appreciated the details and fine work.
It was heavy, maybe at least a hundred kilo or so. How Anchor managed to make it that heavy was a question on his part, but Sabo also appreciated it's delicate balance and how sturdy it was. Even without Armament Haki, Sabo was sure it could take a lot of punishment before breaking.
Sabo looked at Anchor, "Does she have a name?"
"She?" Luffy asked, a bit amused.
"What?" Sabo asked, "She's beautiful… I might be in love." He finished with a chuckle.
Sanji, who was with the group, snorted, while Kuina and Zoro gave out a smirk. Luffy flat out laughed. All of them in some shape and form could understand that.
Anchor grinned with pride, but shook his head. "I haven't named it… I haven't named her yet. I might be the smith, but it's your weapon, you should be the one to name it."
Sabo looked at the black metal staff, thoughtfully for a few seconds. He had a name in mind.
"Stormforge…" Sabo said looking up, "Its… It just feels the right thing to name her. Forged with the power to break a storm! Stormforge!"
As if accepting the name, the yellow circuits glowed a bit brighter, but no one saw that.
After that was done, Sabo started doing a few swings with the metal staff before finally activating it's first function. Picturing what he had in mind.
On one of the ends of the metal staff was small holes, and from them, black tar-like liquid came out taking the shape of a spearhead on the first end. It even had the golden highlights on it.
Sabo whistled as he touched the cold blade, impressed by it's sharpness.
Sabo initially wanted a staff similar to Enel's golden staff, however even though gold was conductive as a weapon it lacked durability. So he asked Anchor for the best metal that could withstand his electricity and be durable at the same time. And the results spoke for themselves.
"It's made from darkhorn iron and bloodstain platinum, so as long as you keep it powered with your electricity, it won't dull." Anchor said, "Also, it's not the only bladed option… I was even able to add that…"
Hearing that Sabo grinned and quickly ran his powers through Stormforge. Only those with electric control were able to use it's internal functions. And because of his mental command, it morphed into a new shape. And Sabo looked almost elated.
"Really… that?" Luffy gave him a deadpan look.
"What? Scythes are cool!" Sabo defended. "It's much cooler than the toothpick you use…"
"You dare, Brother?!" Luffy said taking out his Nameless Naginata and challenging him. "You need to be humbled." He said with a toothy grin.
"Humbled my ass!" Sabo snorted a playful grin of his own, "Stormforge and I will teach you why I'm your big brother."
Both were itching for a fight, mainly because both of them wanted to test out Sabo's new weapon. But Anchor stopped them.
"Oi, don't start shit in my forge." He said, "And besides you can test Stromforge out later… Anyway, you can generate your spear-head and the scythe-head along with a hidden feature… try it."
Sabo frowned and focused on his weapon, because of his logia powers he was able to connect with metals. So he was a bit surprised when he found what was inside. He quickly activated it.
And the scythe end of his weapon gave out a gray outline. Wanting to make sure if it was legit or not, Sabo carefully touched the gray end. And winched when the wave of weakness hit him.
"That's definitely sea-stone…" Sabo mumbled.
"Yup… and of good quality. Your enemies will be in for a surprise." The smith said, with a grin. "Also, as Stormforge is made with good conductive metals, you should be able to magnetize it…" Hearing that, Sabo wanted to test it, "Oi oi… don't test that function here, you will pull everything inside the room toward you."
Sabo winced, "Yeah, sorry."
Anchor huffed, "Anyway, with the magnetize function you should also be able to call back your weapon. You can thank Usopp for that, the sniper figured out the magnetization part."
Sabo nodded, clearly impressed. He made a note to thank the sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates later. But before that he needed to humble someone, he looked at Luffy and gave a grin.
Luffy grinned back and an unspoken conversation happened before both started walking away from the forge. Seeing them go, Sanji, Kuina, Sparky, Zoro, Johnny, Yosaku, and Bartolomeo who were here, also started moving, following them.
Anchor shook his head, but he was also a bit eager to see his weapon at work. But he needed to fix up the things in the smithy first.
