Chapter 166 - Chapter 364

364

The resonant echoes of the smithy filled the air, enveloping the space with an atmosphere of industry and craft. The rhythmic clanging of a hammer striking metal reverberated through the chamber, a testament to the tireless dedication of the skilled blacksmith at work.

The fire of the forge was strong, with sweat pouring down the face of Anchor as he focused on his work. Each blow was precise and purposeful, as he worked.

The chorus of metal on metal, and the crackling of a roaring fire lent warmth and illumination to the otherwise austere surroundings. Its flickering flames danced with fiery energy, casting dynamic shadows upon the walls adorned with the tools of the trade.

The air bore the unmistakable scent of burning coals and heated metal, a potent blend that seemed to encapsulate the very essence of craftsmanship.

'A bit more…' Anchor thought as he hammered away at his work. Working on the base of the weapon. The long dark pole was made by darkhorn iron and bloodstain platinum.

Alloys that were unusually hard to melt and work with, but were best known for their durability and conductivity. Not to mention how rare they were. The only reason why Anchor was able to collect them was because of this ancient dungeon.

When Anchor first discovered the forge, he found a plethora of broken and unfinished products in the dungeon. Whoever had used the dungeon was a crappy smith, or had more than enough materials on hand to not reuse the materials from the unfinished products.

So Anchor had melted and collected every bit of rare material from those unfinished products into working alloys. Which was kind of made easy due to having his powers to separate metals from each other.

As Anchor hammered away at the metal, he felt really grateful for the forge on hand. Whoever the previous owner of the smithy was, had state-of-the-art equipment. Like for example, the darkhorn iron and bloodstain platinum were known for being able to withstand high temperatures, so melting them into a new shape was a day's work in itself.

But due to the forge and it's high-temperature flame, working with them was made easy. The rings of the hammer echoed the halls as Anchor worked.

Even though this was a smithy, like the other rooms in the dungeon, it was giant-sized.

However, the forge was normal-sized, so Anchor could easily work here. But even with that, a good chunk of the room was vacant. So Usopp had a few of his creative things set up to work on his weapons and traps for the dungeon room.

The weapon Anchor was going to be making was for Sabo. So the Revolutionary was also present for the process along with a few of his crewmates. From the start till the finish, Sabo helped in every-way possible for the making of the weapon.

And in a way, this was for the beast. It would make it easy for Sabo to awaken his weapon in future.

Almost everything in the One Piece world had a voice of sorts. But most stayed silent. Weapons that had a will of their own were those that had 'awakened' from their silence. But depending on who the user was, it usually took years for a new weapon to awaken.

Weapons like Zoro's Nozarashi or even Luffy's unnamed Naginata were awakened due to having previous users. But a new weapon usually took a long time for that.

As his crewmembers watched, Anchor worked on the core of the pole based weapon.

Almost half of the work was already finished. Sabo wanted a spear that could morph into a metal staff if needed. Well, that was the initial request.

But after thinking about it, with how versatile his lightning powers were. Sabo wanted a weapon that would be able to do a multitude of things and yet be simple.

Sabo mainly used his metal pipe due to its ease of availability and because he used it to trick his opponents, to throw them off guard to make a chance for his dragon fist to deal the finishing blow. But with his recently gained powers, things changed, he would need to change his fighting style as well, to better use the logia powers.

That's why he gave full creative liberties to Anchor. Hearing that Anchor went above and beyond with the initial design. It took a whole day to of throwing ideas back and forth with Usopp and Sabo before deciding on the design.

Then came the building of the complex parts that would be internal.

Usually, Anchor would have to build the base and and external part then build the small complex parts. But with his new fruit powers, in the five or six days, he had enough time to make and perfect the complex part of the build.

Especially the complex part of making a certain function for the weapon. Usopp really had a creative mind, Anchor would give him that.

So the only thing remaining was making the base of the pole-based weapon, along with the external parts for durability and aesthetics.

Hours went by as Anchor started reaching the end of the build, putting all of the parts together one by one. And hammering it down to fit each other. With that, he was almost done.

To seal the whole weapon, and take out any air gaps of the complex build, he looked at the forge. He would usually throw it in there to heat up and seal it, but he had a better idea.

He grabbed the almost finished build that had smudge and grease on it and stabbed it in front of him, into the ground. Even though the pole-based weapon was blunt, with Anchor's strength, it was easy to make it stand up straight. He took a step back and looked at Sabo, who was giving him a questioning look.

"Fire your strongest lightning bolt and heat it up." Anchor said as he used his towel to wipe away the sweat from his face and grease from his fingers.

"Eh…? Are you sure?"

One lucky/unlucky guy wanted to play One Piece as Luffy. And he's doing just that. Literally!

Current Arc: Water 7

.

Extended Summary:

All I know is this is just wrong. I was just reading the latest chapter of One Piece in my computer. And an annoying survey popped up asking me if I want to play One Piece new beginning. Thinking nothing of it I said yes.

And selected 'Realistic' difficulty.

There was a game loading screen. Loading gibberish, and warning me that the world has a lot of surprises in store for me. Not all things are same, because I had to choose the 'developer's time-line'.

And then telling me to brace for Character Synchronization. And before I knew it, I was no longer your average Joe. And this wasn't earth either... no this was One Piece.

And, I was Monkey D. Luffy. The future King of pirates.

I mean what could go wrong? If Luffy could do it, so could I.

But this wasn't the same One piece world I remember. Some changes are small like Kuina being Zoro's rival… who's alive.

While others were huge. Like... did you know, Whitebeard had an actual beard?! Man looked like Santa Claus on steroids. Jaked and shit!

Just what did I get myself into?

But does it matter?

No.

Because I'm going to have the time of my life. This was going to be one heck of an adventure.
