Chapter 3: The Game of Death
SINCLAIR'S POV:
After passing the first two games, I was tired and worn out. I could barely keep up with all the questions. I entered the third room, then out of nowhere the room started shaking violently, dust clouded the whole room blinding my vision. I swung my arms around, trying my best to clear the cloud of dust, and luckily the dust faded in a few seconds.
"Is that, a sword?" I thought to myself as I saw a sword laying on the ground. I picked it up and swung the sword around, it was really light and easy to handle—As I was busy swinging, suddenly, the sound of a chain echoed throughout the room"
"Clang!-Rrrr-rrrr"
Two men, their bodies wrapped in chains fell from above, "Aahh!" I screamed, stumbling backwards as I fell down on the floor
One of the men looked at me, barely lifting his head up, "P-Please help me, please help me" He begged. Their bodies were badly injured, cuts and wounds everywhere. I didn't know what to do, should I try to free them? Or should I do something else
"What would Tonjo do?" I asked myself in desperation
Then, the voice of the system spoke out again, "The Third Game will now begin.
Before you are two men, one is a murderer with innocent blood on his hands, and the other is an innocent man who had never committed any crime in his life. In the next 60 seconds, decide who is guilty and who's innocent"
My hands started shaking, I didn't know what to do. The sound of the clock ticking only made it worse, before I knew it, 30 seconds had passed
"S-Sorry, I-I don't know what to do" I covered my face hiding from them. They shouted at me, screaming at me to kill the other. At that moment, I gave up, I decided to die with them. Killing was never my thing, a Healer should help others live not the other way around.
5...4...3...2...1...
"Time's up... you passed" The voice announced
"Huh? I, passed?" I was confused, shocked even. I looked around the room, and the two men had disappeared like they were never there in the first place.
I struggled to my feet, barely standing up. I walked towards the door, entering a new room that was much larger than the room I was in a second ago. I looked around, and saw someone, someone I had wanted to see all this time
"Tonjo!" I screamed out, running with all my strength towards him. I hugged him tightly, refusing to let go.
The system spoke out again, and started explaining the rules for our next game

TONJO'S POV:
The moment the voice finished explaining the rules, I looked around, glancing at the eyes of the others. There was only one thing that came to mind—malice. The room screamed every man for himself, it was clear that it had become a game of survival.
The system declared, "First Round... begin"
Without even realising it, I was already holding cards in my left hand. There were two A cards, one D and C card, and just like the system said, one Φ card. In total I had 4 letter cards and 1 blank card.
Sinclair looked at her cards, then she came to me, "Tonjo, I know that we are not allowed to show each other our cards, but it never said anything about saying what cards we have"
"Hmm, you're right, there were no rules saying that we can't say what cards we have, but the downside is we don't know if the other person is telling the truth"
"But you know I won't lie right? I won't lie to you Tonjo so please trust me"
"I know you won't Sinclair, I said that to warn you about the others, I know you're a good person, but don't blindly trust them"
"O-Okay. So then let me tell you what cards i have. I have two B cards, one C and E cards, and also one blank card"
Our card deck was:
Tonjo: A A D C Φ
Sinclair: B B C E Φ
"We need three identical cards to win, but from what we have, it's impossible to win if we only trade between us. We'll have to trade with the others later, but for now, I'll give you my C card, and you'll give me your E card"
"Okay, I-I accept a trade with Tonjo"
"Ting!" A notification sound echoed out, confirming our trade
Our card deck was:
Tonjo: A A D E Φ
Sinclair: B B C C Φ
After the trade, it was now a lot easier for Sinclair to win, she only needed another B or C card to win.
I looked around the room, and saw two people trading their cards like us. They were Shuichiro and Sanji.
Because only 5 players exist, one player had to be left out each round. And for the first round, the one being left out was Ruby
5 minutes passed, and the system announced, "The first round is now over.
Second Round... begin"
I looked at Sinclair, "Listen Sinclair"
"What is it Tonjo?"
"This round I want you to trade with whoever you want"
She looked surprised, "What about you? Who will you trade with?"
"Actually, I am using this round to observe the others, I'll trade next round" I answered
"Okay. Then, I'll go trade with that girl, her name is Ruby right? Last round no one traded with her so I kind of feel bad for her"
"Be careful Sinclair"
After Sinclair went to trade with Ruby, I saw Shuichiro walking towards me.
"You must be Tonjo" he waved his hand, "What do you say we trade Tonjo, you up for it?"
"Sorry Shuichiro, but I'll pass. I am using this round to think.
Anyway If you don't mind me asking, what cards do you currently have?"
"...hmm, Okay. Right now I have one B, E and C card, and also two blank card, haha"
"Y-You have two blank cards? Did Sanji set you up?"
"No no, I asked him to trade me his Φ card for my A card, so right now all he have is letter cards. And from the beginning, I was unlucky, all I had was B E A and C card, all different letters—So giving away one letter doesn't hurt me at all.
What about you Tonjo, what cards do you have?"
"Uhh, Right now I have two A card, one D and E card, and one Φ card. But Shuichiro, why did you trade your letter card for a blank card? If someone gives you another blank card, you'll be eliminated"
Shuichiro just smirked, and told me that it's just for fun.
I quickly memorised what cards each players have.
Our card deck was:
Tonjo: A A D E Φ
Sinclair: B B C C Φ
Shuichiro: B E C Φ Φ
Just as I finished memorising the cards, from a distance, I heard a trembling voice, "W-Why did you do that?"
I glanced across the room, and saw that it was Sinclair
I ran towards her immediately, "Hey! Sinclair! What happened?" I held her by her shoulders
She turned her head towards me, speaking out with a shaking voice, "S-She..."
