Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: The Monthly Assembly

Keifer's POV

It had been a week since the visit to my house, and school was finally settling back into its usual rhythm. The Friday air felt calm, but the class wasn't — papers shuffled, voices murmured, and Ci-N suddenly appeared at my desk, looking more serious than usual.

"Keifer," he said, tapping my shoulder, "they're calling for the monthly assembly."

Ciel, who was sitting near the window, turned with curiosity written all over her face. "Monthly assembly? What's that?" she asked.

I leaned back in my chair and called out, "David!"

He didn't even lift his head — just adjusted his headphones. "Huh?"

"Explain it to her," I said.

He sighed, clearly not in the mood, but still replied, "It's when each section — from A to E — picks five students, including the class president. They talk about school issues, improvements, and the directors give updates. It's kinda like a meeting for all the top students… or something."

"Ahh," Ciel nodded, pretending to take mental notes.

I stood and stretched. "Alright, we'll take Jayjay and Yuri," I said, then looked toward Adrian and Ciel. "And this time, you two can come along."

Ciel's eyes widened. "Wait—really?!"

Adrian just smirked. "Guess we're special this time."

Ciel's POV

The walk to the assembly hall was… amazing. I'd never been part of it before, and everything felt so formal — like we were walking into something important. Each section had its own row with five chairs neatly arranged. The banners above read Section A, Section B, Section C, Section D, and finally, Section E.

We took our seats, with Keifer and Jayjay ,I sat beside Adrian, glancing around the large room filled with chattering students. The directors were already at the front — serious faces, files open, microphones set.

I could feel the excitement bubbling in me. Everyone looked so focused, and I couldn't help but think how cool it was to be part of something that only selected students attended.

"Wow…" I whispered to Adrian. "It's so… official."

He smiled slightly. "You'll get used to it. It's just school stuff, really."

But for me, it wasn't just school stuff. It felt like the start of something big — and I was sitting right in the middle of it.
