Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 – Scars We Don’t See

[Adrian's POV]

Section E was quieter than I expected for a Monday morning.

Jayjay was half-asleep on her desk, Keifer sitting beside her scrolling through his phone.

Rory and Calix were arguing about something stupid — again.

Ci-N was balancing a pencil on his nose, and Eman was sketching another restaurant layout on his notebook.

I was still getting used to how close they all were.

They talked like a family, argued like siblings, and covered for each other like soldiers.

Then, while mindlessly scrolling my feed, a headline caught my eye.

"YOUNGEST CEO BUSINESS HISTORY — KEIFER WATSON TAKES OVER WATSON CORP."

I sat up straight. "Wait… what?"

Keifer looked up from his phone.

"What's wrong?"

I turned my screen toward him. "Bro. This you?"

He blinked once, sighed, then nodded slowly. "Yeah… that's me."

My jaw dropped.

"The CEO of Watson Corp?

Jayjay chuckled softly beside him.

"You didn't know?"

"Wait—you all knew?" I asked, looking around.

Rory smirked. "Old news, man. That happened months ago."

Calix added, "He literally ran the company from London while still attending school here."

Ci-N leaned in. "Multitasking king."

Eman grinned. "He came back because he missed Jayjay."

The class burst into laughter. Keifer just shook his head, trying not to smile.

[Jayjay's POV]

He didn't like talking about London — not because of the fame, but because of the weight behind it.

I'd seen that look in his eyes before: quiet, distant, like he'd left a part of himself there.

"London wasn't easy," he said, voice low. "My dad forced me into it.

I only accepted because I didn't want everything he built to crush the people working under him."

Ci-N made a face. "So basically, you're the good version of your dad?"

Keifer rolled his eyes. "Not even close."

Adrian looked impressed. "Still… that's huge. Running a company while studying here."

Jayjay nudged him lightly. "He's not just smart. He's stubborn too."

Keifer smirked. "Takes one to know one."

The class groaned.

Ci-N yelled, "They're doing it again!"

Calix whispered, "Just date already."

Rory added, "We've been waiting since last semester!"

Jayjay threw her notebook at them. "Shut up!"

The laughter filled the room again — loud, messy, and warm.

[Ciel's POV]

I'd been quietly listening from the back, trying to keep up.

Section E was like a movie — too many strong personalities in one room, but it somehow worked.

"Wait," I said, interrupting without meaning to. "You said… London?"

Keifer looked over. "Yeah."

I tilted my head. "London. I've never been there."

Everyone paused for a second, then laughed lightly.

Jayjay smiled at me, warm and calm. "Maybe one day you will."

Before I could answer, the classroom door slid open.

The sound made everyone turn.

A tall figure stepped in — red hair catching the morning light, familiar eyes scanning the room like he'd never really left.

The air changed. Even the noise faded.

Ciel blinked, whispering before she could stop herself:

"Who's that handsome guy with the red hair?"
